Was itching to try them both out in the Falcon cockpit. Hadn't expected Nunb to be so wide but Lando fits nicely.
When we last saw Chewbacca www.flickr.com/photos/bobbdobbs/6910223231/in/photostream , he had somehow ended up on the planet Earth, where he was mistaken for a Yeti and captured by the GI Joe Adventure Team!
Now Chewie languishes in a specially constructed jail cell at the Adventure Team's top secret European headquarters....
Empire officially turns 30 this month! Continuing my slow going celebration of my favorite movie of all time this a little something different.
We're a bit over 2/3 of the way through the build now with all of the bottom panels in place, some of the side and some of the top.
Here is a shot of the incredible 10179 Millenium Falcon UCS ! Not so easy to take because of the size of the set.
Comments are of course welcome ! ^^

I never really paid attention to the Ugos as a kid, and seem to recall never seeing the POTF2 ones in stores, but now I kind of have a soft spot for them. They are afterall Empire's little people, much like Jawas and Ewoks from ANH and Jedi respectively.
Series 1 had each Mini come w/some extra pieces, and you used them all to make the TIE Bomber. That was just icing on the cake, another gimmick that I completely bought into on this!
Series 2 did the same, this time for a Y-Wing.
Damn, I just realized that I had all of the first series (top pic) but I dunno where my X-Wing and Slave 1 things are! I know my kids' cats got to my ATST and Snowspeeder.
lego millenium falcon cake for my sons 4th birthday. For my 1st time ever making and working w/ fondant I think it turned out pretty good. I guess the Force was w/ me :)
I baked 2 9"x2" firm cakes. One of them is the main part of the cake and the other one I used a template I drew and carved out the pieces. I used 1.25 containers of store bought cream cheese frosting to attach the carved cake pieces and cover the cake before putting on the marshmellow fondant. I used a size 12 wilton icing tip to cut the dots out of fondant. I wish I had a slightly smaller tip for that but it worked.

Silicone Millenium Falcon cake pan from www.lakeland.co.uk/18653/Star-Warsâ„¢-Millennium-Falcon-.... Some people have made the cake and then used just parts of the pan as a mold for fondant detail, but I just laid a layer of fondant in the whole pan, let it dry for about a half hour, and then covered the entire cake with the molded fondant. The shape held pretty well as it came out of the silicone pan...it would have been better with more corn starch. The figures are all Wilton candy melts and chocolate. Then, since this was supposed to be Star Wars Lego cake, I added random lego pieces (from my own mold so they are actual size).

The skeleton is now done so here's some pics before the panels are attached. The model currently weighs approximately 2.5kg.

Today I cut my own hair. Well, I did it halfway, and stopped so someone else could do the rest tomorrow. I can't see the back of my hair anyway, so why should I care? ha.
Anyway, my bangs look great, but the rest is pretty special. Maybe I should keep it like this for a while.
In the meanwhile, look at my Millenium Falcon earrings!
(None of the hair in question is visible in this photo.)

Solo: A Star Wars Story, or simply Solo, is a 2018 American space Western film based on the Star Wars character Han Solo. Directed by Ron Howard, it was produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the second Star Wars anthology film following 2016's Rogue One. The plot takes place over ten years prior to the events of A New Hope, and explores the early adventures of Han Solo and Chewbacca, as the pair are involved in a heist within the criminal underworld and meet a young Lando Calrissian. The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, alongside Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo, and Paul Bettany.
George Lucas began development on the film in 2012. He commissioned Lawrence Kasdan to write the screenplay, which was completed by his son Jonathan after Kasdan was hired to write Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Principal photography began in January 2017 at Pinewood Studios, under the direction of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The pair left the project in June 2017 after reportedly being fired over "creative differences" with Lucasfilm, and Howard took over directing duties. With an estimated production budget of around $275 million, it is one of the most expensive films ever made. Having grossed over $388 million worldwide, it is considered the first Star Wars film to be deemed a box office bomb, with estimated losses for Disney of up to $80 million; it will need to gross at least $500 million to break even.
The film had its world premiere in Los Angeles on May 10, 2018, and also screened on May 15 at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, before its United States release on May 25, 2018 in RealD 3D, IMAX and IMAX 3D. It received generally favorable reviews from critics, with praise for the cast (particularly Ehrenreich and Glover), visuals and action sequences, although many noted that the film added "nothing new" to the Star Wars franchise.
