"Rusties depart from northern forests to begin their rather leisurely southward migration sometime in early to mid-September. They spend about one month resting and feeding at stopover sites between mid-October and mid-November, and they arrive on southeastern wintering grounds in late November. Including stopover time, autumn migration lasts 10-12 weeks. In spring, the impending breeding season urges the northward migration to progress much more quickly. Most birds leave the wintering areas in late March or early April and arrive on the breeding grounds a mere 2-4 weeks later." Rustyblackbird.org
The Dialogue held on 26 September 2017, was attended by more than a hundred people including, representatives from various ministries, embassies, academics, researchers, employers and workers representatives, civil society organizations.
The meeting continued the implementation of the India-EU Common Agenda on Migration and Mobility (CAMM) signed last year, and comes ahead of the upcoming India-EU Summit to be held in Delhi in October 2017. The CAMM addresses four pillars: better organized regular migration and the fostering of well-managed mobility; prevention of irregular migration and trafficking in human beings; maximizing the development impact of migration and mobility; and promotion of international protection.
The new Denny Sanford Wildlife Explorers Basecamp at the world-famous San Diego Zoo is an innovative and dynamic play/learning environment for children. Working closely with the Zoo and Architects HGW, Ideum has developed more than 20 exhibits for the Zoo’s indoor spaces. Ideum designed and built a range of interactive experiences that appear in two brand-new buildings: the Herpetology and Ichthyology building (focusing on reptiles, amphibians, and fish) and the Invertebrate building (insects, arachnids, and crustaceans).
Taken at a small Korean bistro in Tottenham Court Road, this is a window to London's diversity. This also reveals how new Londoners show pride of their identity through their mother tongues.

The ILO, IOM, UNESCAP and World Vision launched the Saphan Siang campaign with the aim of improving understanding between Thais and migrant workers working in Thailand. The campaign provides a public forum to discuss issues on the protection of the rights of migrant workers which will increase knowledge and understanding of migrant workers.

Children from the community get to enjoy ice cream cones courtesy of Rosa Cabrera's enterprise. The Recuperar project provides technical assistance to families and helps them obtain loans so they could start small businesses like Rosa's ice cream store to help improve family income and living conditions.

As we enter another seasonal migration, the students molt their old couches and leave them on lawns in college towns across the country. It's the circle of life.

Point Pelee National Park is a national park located in Essex County in southwestern Ontario, Canada where it extends into Lake Erie. The word pelée, is French for bald. Point Pelee consists of a peninsula of land, mainly of marsh and woodland habitats, that tapers to a sharp point as it extends into Lake Erie. Middle Island, also part of Point Pelee National Park, was acquired in 2000 and is located just north of the Canada–United States border in Lake Erie. Point Pelee is the southernmost point of mainland Canada, and is located on a foundation of glacial sand, silt and gravel that bites into Lake Erie. This spit of land is slightly more than seven kilometres long by 4.5 kilometres (2.8 mi) wide at its northern base.
Established in 1918, Point Pelee was the first national park in Canada to be established for conservation.
Point Pelee was made a national park in 1918 at the urging of birdwatchers and hunters. Commercial fishing continued in the park until 1969. Point Pelee was the only Canadian national park to allow hunting until duck hunting was ended in 1989. This site was named "Pointe-Pelée" (meaning "bald point" by French explorers because the eastern side was rocky and had no trees).
It forms the southernmost point in mainland Canada (its latitudinal position is the same as the northernmost counties of California) and is part of a bird and butterfly migration corridor over Lake Erie via Point Pelee and the Lake Erie islands. Over 360 bird species have been recorded in the park. The peak time for bird migration is spring, especially May, when tired migrants make first landfall after their journey north across the lake. Bird species include Cooper's hawk, painted bunting, and yellow warbler.
Many birdwatchers from North America and abroad visit the park in spring, often staying in the nearby town of Leamington. One attraction, apart from the sheer numbers and variety of bird passing through on migration, is the opportunity to see more northerly breeding species such as blackpoll warbler before they move on.

The Great Belfast Traffic Cone Migration.
Every now and again a huge number of traffic cones emerge from their spawning grounds in the Connswater river and appear along the streets of our city. No one is sure where they go, and many are lost along the way but every year they make their seemingly unguided journey. Although this scene is echoed in many towns and cities in Britain, it's purpose remains a mystery to naturalists, police and parking wardens alike.
