Watching water move sand.
Not today though. It is cold, rainy and foggy. A perfect day for napping and hanging out listening to the rain.
And as ever, going through the boxes that clog the dining room.
With a move to Adelaide only weeks away, I really wanted to capture for the last time the migration of whales off the Sydney coast; I couldn't have wished for a better display! A lone Humpback was spending more time out of the water than in it breaching off Boat Harbour and putting on a great display. It was slowly moving north after spending some time in Bate Bay off Wanda Beach and was surprisingly close to the rocks.
It's a part of Sydney life that I will miss and forever appreciative to have witnessed this great creature.

These are original works by U.S. History (1378H) Honors College students in Dr. Irene Guenther’s class. Their projects creatively educate and inform us about the 20th-century Great Migration of six million African Americans from the South to cities and towns throughout the United States. Their projects illuminate the ways in which this migration forced the nation to confront its long history of racial prejudice and forever changed the nation’s cultural, social, and political landscape. Click on the links to explore their projects from the 2016 spring semester.

The Great Migration of the Serengeti. 2 million wildebeest and 300 thousand zebra in perpetual motion, migrating with the rains through the Serengeti/Masai Mara ecosystem. A true spectacle to behold.
