My new MacBook Pro arrived, and it took only 2 hours to move 3 years of history from my PowerBook G4 (Bibliophylax) to the new MacBook Pro (Euterpe). It took only a few more minutes to erase myself from the PowerBook, which I then gave to Everett.
Now we have 4 computers in the house, and it's time to get rid of the 2 PCs. Everett is already working on migrating from his old Dell laptop to the G4, which isn't quite as fast and easy as the Mac-to-Mac migration, but having an external hard drive certainly helps.
