To prep for pie or pumpkin soup- cut a sugar pumpkin in half across it's midsection. Bake at 400F for 45-60 minutes, in a foil lined pan, or until tender when pierced with a fork. Remove from the oven, scoop out seeds, scoop flesh into a bowl (discarding skin), and mash with a fork.
There are quite a few Černý pieces around Prague and they're all quite cheeky. Most do not involve nudity, though. The midsection of this figure (one of two) moves around a bit, you can use SMS to make it spell out messages with the stream, and the pool it's pissing in is shaped like the Czech Republic. ART!

The Fuller Building or as it is better known, the Flatiron Building, is located in the borough of Manhattan, and was one of the tallest buildings in New York City upon its completion in 1902. The building was designed by Chicago's Daniel Burnham with John Wellborn Root in the Beaux-Arts style on a triangular island block at 23rd Street, Fifth Avenue, and Broadway, facing Madison Square.
Like a classical Greek column, its limestone and glazed terra-cotta façade is separated into three parts horizontally. Since it was one of the first buildings to use a steel skeleton, the building could be constructed to 285 feet, which would have been very difficult with other construction methods of that time.
The initial design by Daniel Burnham shows a similar design to the one constructed, but with a far more elaborate crown with numerous set backs near the pinnacle. A clock face can also be seen. However, under the advice of John Wellborn Root, this was removed from the design.
When completed, it was officially named the Fuller Building after the building's promoter George Fuller. Locals took an immediate interest in the building, placing bets on how far the debris would spread when the wind knocked it down and nicknaming it "the Flatiron" because of the building's resemblance to the irons of the day. The building is also said to have helped coin the phrase "23 skidoo" or scram, from what cops would shout at men who tried to get glimpses of women's dresses being blown up by the winds created by the triangular building. At the rounded tip, the triangular tower is only 6.5 feet (2 meters) wide. The 22-story Flatiron Building, with a height of 285 ft (87 meters), is often considered the oldest surviving skyscraper in Manhattan, though in fact the Park Row Building (1899) is both older and taller.
Today the Flatiron is a popular spot for tourist photographs, a National Historic Landmark, and a functioning office building, currently home to several book publishers, most of them under the umbrella of Holtzbrinck Publishers. The surrounding area of Manhattan is named the Flatiron District for its signature building.
The signature edge of the Flatiron Building was covered in black scaffolding from December 2005 to March 2006 for renovations. Sidewalk-level scaffolding remains.
Bearing the influence of architectural trends introduced at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Burnham's eye-catching design combined elements of French and Italian Renaissance architecture in an effort to attract businesses to this formerly residential and retail-oriented neighborhood. The building's triangular plan was a clever response to the awkward site produced by the intersection of Broadway and Fifth Avenue. Its ornate but restrained facade is composed of stone and terra-cotta panels whose forms simulate the effects of rustication. Undulating bays break up the monotony of the building's tall midsection. The overall effect is that of a palazzo stretched to great height. Here, for the first time, the construction of a steel-framed skyscraper was witnessed in its entirety by the general public--a event which generated much response. The building fascinated photographers and was immortalized in the work of Edward Steichen and Alfred Steiglitz.
"I found myself agape, admiring a skyscraper — the prow of the Flatiron Building, to be particular, ploughing up through the traffic of Broadway and Fifth Avenue in the late-afternoon light." H.G. Wells, 1906
This comes after what seems like an endless tight crawl over sharp cobblestones in the main passage. After I got out, I felt as if someone had been punching my body in the midsection and shoulders. I think this was only the second time that anyone has seen this passage (and likely the last), so here it is for posterity. Nothing special here, just sinuous canyon passage that must have been created by fast moving water. Judging by the general wetness, it still floods.
McGundam: original LEGO creation by Baron von Brunk. This is a bizarre, disturbing creation I've built which blends the imagery of Ronald McDonald with the demonic Devil Gundam from the infamous anime series Mobile Fighter G Gundam. The main focal point of this build is the massive Ronald head for its midsection, which has the appendages sprouting from it to form a mechanical beast.
After conceptualizing the project, the eventual engineering aspect would undergo several changes for structural purposes. In other words, the size and articulation was frequently adjusted, since the heavy weight constantly made the project topple over and break. Extra joints were added to weak spots, which unfortunately limited its range of motion. It was also intended to be much taller, too, but was too large to stand on its own weight. Another thing to point out was that the feet originally had more motion and were intended to rotate for action poses, but sadly had to have their articulation simplified to prevent the whole model from toppling over.
When building this project, I started with the giant Ronald head first, so that I could share the head as a teaser photo on social media. Next I built the legs and feet, before finalizing the chest, head, and spinal section. During tests I had to constantly amend the design and either add or remove sections due to aforementioned weight/stability issues. The spinal column was supposed to be much longer and narrower – like a serpent – but had to be shortened and reinforced with Hero Factory parts to make sturdier.
Shooting the photos was also very difficult since the project was having trouble standing upright without falling over, and pieces constantly kept falling off and breaking. Too much of the details and greebling meant that when the appendages would wobble during photo shoots, the pieces would immediately come off and roll off the table, and then require lots of repairs.

Among the exhibits at the Custom House Museum in Key West are displays pertaining to the explosion on the USS Maine, including the replica of the battleship shown here.

Additional details highlighted within the room's informational signage:
Explosion on the Maine
On February 15, 1898, at 9:40 P.M., while drifting peacefully in Havana Harbor, the Maine was rocked by a terrible explosion. The discharge caused violent damage to the forward and midsections of the battleship. The Maine sank to the harbor floor in 15 minutes. During this short period of time, 260 crew members of the battleship perished by drowning or injuries caused by the explosions and fire. Eventually, the loss of life related to this great naval disaster would reach 266 officers and men. The greatest damage, by explosion, was to the forward section of the ship where the sailors and crew members had retired for the evening. Although some of the crew were blown out of the sleeping quarters alive and suffered only minor injuries, most of the deadly casualties occurred in this area.
Four officers of the battleship were on shore during the explosions. Other officers were on duty or resting in the aft section of the vessel and escaped injury. There were two officers that drowned that evening. Altogether, the crew of the Maine was made up of 354 officers and men.

Designer Jasmine has been fully deboxed, and is posed standing, supported by the custom doll stand. Her overskirt, freed from the factory restraints, is now wider than the doll stand, and is allowed to drape over the edges of the base. The sunlight was fading as I was taking these photos, so some of the closeups used flash.
First look at the Disney Princess Designer Collection Jasmine Doll. She was released in October 2011, and I got her from eBay shortly afterwards, so It's been more than a year and a half since I got this doll. But I have not yet deboxed her, and this the first time I am doing a full photoshoot of her. I will photograph her boxed, during her deboxing, and fully deboxed.
My Designer Jasmine doll is a limited edition doll that was produced and sold exclusively by the Disney Store, and is numbered 5645 of 6000. She is based on the heroine from the Disney animated feature Aladdin (1992). She comes in an acrylic case with a built-in doll stand, with a base that has a golden filigree design, and a golden metallic nameplate. There is also a cardboard cover for the case that I have not photographed here.
She is 11 1/2'' tall, and has the same body as the other Designer Princess dolls, with jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hips and knees (internal). She has rubber legs and fixed ankles, with feet angled for high heels.
She has jet black, 12'' long hair tied into a floor length pony tail. There are two golden elastic hairties in the upper and middle part of the ponytail, and the lower portion of her hair has loose curls. It is very soft and shiny. There were a few stray hairs, but I left them alone and did not comb it, as I thought her hair was neat enough as it was out of the box. She has light brown skin, and a unique face sculpt that is very pretty and movie accurate. She has large dark brown almond shaped eyes that are glancing towards her right. She has light blue-green eye shadow, and thick black eyebrows. She has rooted eyelashes, that are tapered in length from short to long, then at the ends there are very long curved antenna like lashes. She has a small straight nose, full dark purple lips in with a closed mouth smile. She has very pale red rouge on her cheeks.
Her three piece gown is made of bright blue-green satin and light blue organza. Her bodice is cropped short to reveal her midsection (including her belly button), and consists of light blue organza embedded with golden gems, draped over her upper arms, and gemmed blue-green satin lower and back sections. Her blue-green satin skirt is floor length and is figure hugging, flairing out at the bottom. It is hemmed and there is a light blue polyester lining. There is a very wide overskirt of the double layered light blue satin. I is open in front, but can be wrapped around to completely cover her inner skirt, or can be folded to reveal her inner skirt.
She is wearing light blue-green high heeled shoes, which match the color of her skirt.
Her accessories include earrings, a chain belt with pendant and Aladdin's lamp. The earrings are large golden triangles with gold colored gems. Her belt is made of fine gold chain, with a large round jeweled pendant just below her waist that gathers the strands of the chain together, the remainder of which fall almost to the floor. In her right hand is a golden lamp that is bejeweled with yellow gems. The top of the lamp is removable (it is held in place with rubber bands, which I left in place).
There were no real surprises revealed by deboxing her, although it was nice to see the full extent of her overskirt. I was also glad to take her out of her awkward head pose, which was a common problem among the Designer Princesses. One thing I didn't like was that her top was a little too short, and revealed her waist joint (that enables her to spin her upper body around 360 degrees). Tugging on her top didn't move it enough to hide the joint in the front. As a consequence, her waist joint moved very freely, and her upper body tended to turn whenever she was handled, aided by her long hair. Also her long luxurious hair is very heavy, so tends to pull her backwards slightly when she is posed on the display stand. Designer Rapunzel has a similar problem. Her very wide floor length overskirt and floor length hair make it difficult to rebox her neatly, which is a common problem with the Designer dolls with very wide floor length skirts.

- also called crawfish or crawdad, are closely related to the lobster. More than half of the more than 500 species occur in North America, particularly Kentucky (Mammoth Cave) and Louisiana in the Mississippi basin. Crayfish also live in Europe, New Zealand, East Asia and throughout the world, including the Tristan da Cunha Islands. Nearly all live in freshwater, although a few survive in salt water. Crayfish are characterised by a joined head and thorax, or midsection, and a segmented body, which is sandy yellow, green, or dark brown in colour. The head has a sharp snout, and the eyes are on movable stalks.
Crayfish are usually about 7.5 cm (3 inches) long.

Chuckwallas are large lizards found primarily in arid regions of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. Some are found on coastal islands. There are five species of chuckwallas, all within the genus Sauromalus; they are part of the iguanid family, Iguanidae.
Chuckwallas are a stocky wide-bodied lizard with a flattened midsection and prominent belly. Their tails are thick, tapering to a blunt tip. Loose folds of skin characterize the neck and sides of the body, which is covered in small, coarsely granular scales. The common chuckwalla (Sauromalus ater) measures 15 3/4 inches.
The genus Sauromalus has a wide distribution in biomes of the Sonoran and Mojave Deserts. The common chuckwalla (Sauromalus ater) is the species with the greatest range, found from southern California east to southern Nevada and Utah, western Arizona and south to Baja California and northwestern Mexico. The peninsular chuckwalla (Sauromalus australis) is found on the eastern portion of the southern half of the Baja California peninsula.
Chuckwallas prefer lava flows and rocky areas. These areas are typically vegetated by creosote bush and other such drought-tolerant scrub. The lizards may be found at elevations of up to 4,500 feet (1,370 m).

These snow crocuses were planted last fall in the midsection of our recently renovated "garage bed", so named as it is situated behind the garage, previously containing only a dwarf lilac. I stepped out it the rain yesterday to capture this front on shot as I find them almost as cheerful when furled as when open.
Here is another snapshot of my latest project in LDD. I can't say what it is just yet. I'm just getting around to building the "midsection" of this piece, and will post another update pic once I've gotten something that I'm satisfied with.
I'll hopefully finish this weekend. Not sure why I bother rendering the whole of it since only midsection will get onto the skin design but a dissection is a difficult decision I am not yet ready to make..;)
While tick prevention is genuinely the most ideal approach to keep the infections the ticks convey from spreading, if maybe you do find that you, a relative, or a pet has been picked as a tick's next supper, there's no reason to freeze. Tick extermination is a genuinely easy task and should be possible when a tick has been found on the body.
Ticks, being parasitic, will connect themselves to a host that may be human or pet so as to deplete their blood. This is like the manner in which a mosquito works, then again, actually a mosquito plays out her parasitic activity in one minute while a tick's parasitic movement can last up to a couple of days. Ticks are little, level bodied animals with eight little legs. They don't bounce or fly, however, they are aces at adhering to you on the off chance that you catch up on them, and afterward slithering to imperceptible spots on your skin.
Anticipate & Prepare for It:
Before taking off on your time in nature, fold a couple of tweezers into your climbing or excursion pack with the goal that you are set up for tick removal if necessary. Throw in a few liquor wipes for tidiness, and pack a plastic, zippered sack to put the offender in after removal.
Playing out a Tick Check
Following your climb in the forested areas or even a stroll close to any foliage or leaves, playing out a tick check is judicious. It's ideal on the off chance that you can play out a tick check each a few hours while you are out in nature, just as before getting back. The sooner you get a tick, the less likely uncertain it is to cause you to hurt.
Ticks can be a little as a spot or as extensive as a couple of millimeters, and they like to slither to places where they can take care of without being untraced. Check your scalp, under the arms, in the middle of the legs, behind the knees, close to the midsection button, and whatever other spots that ticks could without much of a stretch stow away. A tick check is simpler when performed with an accomplice.
Tick Extermination:
Expulsion of ticks promptly after discovering them is perfect, which is the reason you ought to consistently have a couple of tweezers with you. Ticks regularly should be appended to their hosts for any event 24 hours before sending malady, so discovering them immediately is critical. Prompt evacuation not just disposes of the tick to keep sickness and disease under control, yet in addition keeps the tick from coming into your home to breed in numbers.
Tick expulsion is a basic procedure, performed with no exceptional hardware. Supplies include:
tweezers
a cleaning alternative - scouring liquor or cleanser and warm water
also, a spot to put the tick - zippered pack, container, or other holders
To begin with, get a decent perspective on the tick. You may require assistance, especially in the event that it is on your scalp or elsewhere hard to reach. Spot the tweezers as near your skin as could be expected under the circumstances, get the tick solidly however don't smash it. Quickly pull straight up in one movement, without turning or jolting. On the off chance that the tick breaks off in your skin, cautiously expel the remainder of the head.
After the tick is totally evacuated, clean the zone just as washing the tweezers and your hands. Use rubbing liquor if conceivable, or cleanser and water. Keep the tick in a plastic zipper sack with the goal that you can take it to your primary care physician. On the off chance that this isn't a choice, flush it down a latrine.
On the off chance that you build up a rash or different side effects of ailment inside half a month of tick expulsion, contact a healthcare center right away.
