No. 34070 'Manston' approaches Alresford at the Mid Hants Railway on 24 February 2024 with a Matt & Warwick photo charter.
One of the many fantastic heritage railways in Norfolk. I do think that people don’t post enough heritage on the site. I’m not from Norfolk but I do love your beautiful county
Coyote in a mid-flight attack. This coyote ended up catching five mice over the course of about ten minutes before disappearing into the nearby brush. Each mouse: down in one bite. Some harsh sidelighting, but not much I could have done about that.
I've always wondered....I spend less than a minute walking through the high grass and flick off two ticks...how many does this guy have on him! Arastradero Preserve, Palo Alto, CA.

UPDATE 10/11/2010: The new owner tracked me down to learn more about my grandfather's work and to tell me that he did, indeed, design this house. Woo hoo!
She and her husband love the house pretty much as it is and plan to redo the kitchen and master bedroom (which they both desperately need) and preserve the rest. Today is a good day!
Mid morning long exposure at Bronte, yesterday.

Mid-north farmhouse ruin - South Australia. This building appeared on Midnight Oil's 'Diesel and Dust' album cover.
Barn swallow scooping insects off the river surface does a quick mid air maneuver. I think he suddenly spotted me sitting on the bank.
Urie S15 Class 4-6-0 506, recently overhauled and painted in Southern Railway wartime black livery, steams towards Wanders Curve on the Mid-Hants Railway during a Mad Hants photo charter.
EBD CN M33891 slaps the diamonds at Griffith, IN on its' last leg of the journey to Kirk Yard. A pair of Ferromex ACE's put the frosting on the mid-day cake for this guy. The old tower, once situated about where I'm standing, sits preserved across the tracks along with some neat rolling stock relics. This once EJ&E/C&O/EL/GTW hotspot is now all CN, the mains of the C&O and EL gone for decades now.
Small piece of fish left over from Ma's snack. Pops does the mid air transfer beak to talon. I was shooting his take off, and this was the bonus. Yep, it's a composite.
it was a good day spent in the sun with friends and family as we await the arriaval of the newest member of the family. We showered my sister-in-law today with gifts and love for the emminant arrival of her first baby in a couple of weeks. I have decided the baby is a boy, and he will arrive on the 27th in the early-mid afternoon (around 3:00)

One more time... Upper Antelope Canyon near Page, Arizona. I think for now last of the series of this wonderful slot canyon, lightrays peaking through around mid-day

I took this before I left the Poughkeepsie-Highland railroad bridge, gorgeous views from up there! : )
The exam was a little difficult, but I think I'll do well, thank you for your encouraging words! Oh almost forgot, I'm going apple picking on Saturday, can't wait, my first time doing it, going with friends! : )
Thank you all for you wonderful comments and faves! : D
