These elves had quite an architect to design their treehouse. The lower level grotto would be my favorite hangout.

Friday, I found several song sparrows snacking in the tall grass along the Willamette river bank in Portland. They tended to shy away from the walking path, trying to stay out of sight. I managed to catch this one with a grain in beak.

During my recent trip to Kansas City I saw quite a few of things hanging around Mid-America Car. Not sure why or for what but the paint scheme does appeal to me and would love to catch a trio out on the road somewhere.

In the bleak mid-winter
Frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow,
Snow on snow,
In the bleak mid-winter
Long ago.

Beneath the vast expanse of the Dallas sky, The Statler hotel stands as a testament to Mid-Century Modern architecture.
Pittenweem... is a fishing village and civil parish in Fife, on the east coast of Scotland. At the 2001 census, it had a population of 1,747. The name derives from Pictish and Scottish Gaelic. "Pit-" represents Pictish pett 'place, portion of land', and "-enweem" is Gaelic na h-Uaimh, 'of the Caves' in Gaelic, so "The Place of the Caves". The name is rendered Baile na h-Uaimh in modern Gaelic, with baile, 'town, settlement', substituted for the Pictish prefix. The cave in question is almost certainly St Fillan's cave, although there are many indentations along the rocky shores that could have influenced the name. Quoted from Wikipedia
The barn owls I have seen over the last few years were reliably seen lunchtime onwards.This beauty was seen mid afternoon in excellent light and made for a nice image.
This sunset evening delivered a dark cast over the Salish Sea, while coloring some of the high flying clouds. Mid level clouds were fluffy and white, and the evening was wonderful

COVID-19 has changed the normal running of museums' exhibitions. No new ones were opened. Now there are the first 2 new exhibitions in the Düsseldorf K20 and in the Kunstverein. In the latter even a good photo exhibition. Would like to give my friends, who are currently partially unable to go there (not CORONA), to look forward to it. Hope everyone else likes it too.
