No. 30506 heads east away from Ropley on 25 October at the Mid Hants Railway with a charter not long after sunrise.
Photographed over the backwaters of the Mississippi River in La Crosse County, Wisconsin on the first really cool (mid-50s F) mornings in a while. Because I was standing so still waiting for the best light, a spotted sandpiper landed on the shoreline right next to me and was doing its characteristic bobbing up and down like a sewing machine bobbin while I was taking my photos.

It was fascinating to watch all of the Green Darner's dashing about on the shoreline. The sun cascading into evening and I was able to catch the sunlight on this guys wings, mid-flight.

It is likely it was female hummingbirds and not photographers the male in the pervious shot was trying to impress.
Well, his timing was off. The females were having a mid-morning snack in the bushes.

Coyote in a mid-flight attack. This coyote ended up catching five mice over the course of about ten minutes before disappearing into the nearby brush. Each mouse: down in one bite. Some harsh sidelighting, but not much I could have done about that.
