Mon matériel très sommaire pour la microphotographie : un Pentax k5, un flash cobra, un trépied, un soufflet macro Pentax (35 € sur eBay) avec un adaptateur monture k / rms et 2 objectifs : un 4 x Bresser planachromatique (48 € sur Amazon) et un 10 x récupéré sur un microscope chinois (celui qui a aussi servi pour les photos d'araignées et de mouche).

My microscope and the digital camera attachment.

This is the stereo microscope I use for building surface mount PCB's and removing splinters. To take the pictures, I held the lens of the Nikon Coolpix-4500 up to one of the eyepieces. I really wish I had a trinocular head with an adapter for the DSLR.

Les Actinopodes sont des organismes unicellulaires qui forment un embranchement d’organismes aquatiques à symétrie généralement sphérique. Une bonne part d’entre eux possède des squelettes externes calcaires ou siliceux, hérissés de fins pseudopodes (filopodes et axopodes) rayonnants. Leur diamètre est de 40 à 200 microns. Ce sont de prédateurs capables de capturer le plancton grâce à des substances adhésives présentes sur leurs axopodes.

a closer look at a small life

My favorite part of this microscope is the two eyepieces. Two people can look at the same specimen at the same time. Still, I think their little sister wouldn't mind a third eyepiece.

Would be nice if we could hook up the computer to the microscope, hmmm.

This past Saturday I helped photograph an event in my city - they probably won't use this photo for anything, but I'm pretty fond of it. :)

One of the booths was demonstrating a hand-held microscope and had some trays that you could look at to test it out.
