Does anyone remember when kid stuff was like this? It came with sharp metal tools, real glass test tubes, slides and specimen jars, also chemicals and dyes. Who knows how kids survived the 1960's?

One of my favorite things AM has built is this microscope. You can see it at his build...Superdyne..sitting atop another beautiful item of his, the treadle sewing machine.
Light painted still life with antique microscope. Seems appropriate with all this talk of a vaccine. With massive thanks to the inimitable Ian Coombs for the loan of the microscope and various objects.
Photo taken using home made microscope attached to iPhone. It depicts crystals formed in evaporated wine.
These two species are hard to distinguish without a microscope.
Had it labelled completely wrong before.
