Hopefully I have identified this one correctly, please let me know if I have not! I'm not all up on my Mushroom varieties but have been using the 'Collins Gem' book simply titled Mushrooms to help me out.
This shot was taken using my Olympus E-M1 II and is a combination of 9 shots stacked in Affinity Photo.
These three little Mushrooms were growing out of a tree stump within a very messy scene. Going with a 1x1 profile meant I could turn these in to a nice simple shot.
Edit of my photo taken for the Dogwood 52 week photo challenge: 2018 Week 10: Selective Color
While this is technically no longer a selective color photo, I like this one better than my 'official' submission for selective color week.
I’ve been experimenting more with longer focal lengths recently as I often default to wide-angle shots, just something to try and push myself to look at the scene a little differently. This is a shot taken at Cadover Bridge on Saturday morning in the rain, where I’ve also gone for a more subtle processing style than normal.
My second trip to this self described 'Amazement Park'. It is a very hard place to describe to anyone. One this second trip with the family I took along my trusty Olympus E-M1 II with the DJI 15mm F1.7. The combination of the small size and IBIS makes this the perfect days out camera.
We've had a some exceptional sunsets over the last couple of days... to the point where I think we should be suing Hugh Jackman as I'm not sure he can still claim to have the greatest show after last night's display!
I'm going a little "marmite" tonight... some ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) used to get a different take on the trees at Colliford Lake.
Bedruthan Steps, one of the fantastic beaches on Cornwall's north coast. taken on our club photowalk last week.
A wet, rather windy visit today at Barmouth. 45mph gusts did not make it easy to hold the camera steady. As the tide goes out the old Sewage pipe becomes visible.
First trip to Llandudno. It took me 37 years! I was lucky to go on a day where it was not Windy so the Gondolas were up and running. I did take advantage of using them but this was shot whilst sitting on the side of the Mountain enjoying some Sun.
I love how this shot came out. The Gondolas were just above me so it gave me the opportunity to give the impression that they could be up at any height in the Mountains.
These Gondolas have been going since 1969 and were still used every year during the Spring and Summer months.
It's been a few months since returning back from Northumberland but I had completely forgotten to go through all my photo's. This Lighthouse was taken looking through the gates down South Pier in Amble.
A shot from Tuesday evening on a photowalk with the Liskeard Camera Club. We had spotted the fair in the car park and were heading back to take some longer exposures but by the time we got there it was all packed up, grrr! We had to make do with a few shots of the East Looe River instead.
We have had an odd Autumn this year in England. Initially it looked like it was coming super early as the trees were already changing in August. Now, another 6 weeks on it almost seems to have reversed. Wyming Brook near Sheffield had an awful lot of Green in the trees still with just a few fallen leaves stuck on the rocks down the waterfalls.
Samburu is a lovely place to watch elephants. We watched this pair meet and greet each other as they crossed the dried riverbed. The larger one chased the smaller one and then they tussled a little before eventually settling into an embrace.

One from a recent photowalk with the camera club to Hooe Lake in Plymouth. I’m intrigued that the “hulks” are allowed to stay where they are, and have obviously been there for quite some time, so if anyone knows of how they came to be there I’d love to know!
Last Saturday evening I made the journey to Bedruthen Steps with Shaun, something we’d been planning for a few weeks. Everything looked like it was coming together nicely, as we had some lovely clouds overhead with clear space on the horizon, but unfortunately the sunset didn’t fully materialise.
I’m always on the lookout for something interesting to put in-front of a landscape shot and this thistle caught my attention; I used focus-stacking to make sure the thistle itself and the background were all in focus.
It's that time of year again when the Colours are plentiful. I stopped by this field last year and took a very different image. The colours in this image very much remind of the good old Windows XP screensaver.

I purchased the budget OM System 40-150 F4-F5.6 recently and have been really impressed with the lens. I picked it up direct on offer for just £109. So far I've found the lens to be really sharp in good light.
A shot I’ve had in my mind for a while, basically every time I come home from Plymouth and pass the Peace Dove! I’d wondered how it would look with a long exposure with the car headlights catching it, up close it’s not quite as shiny as I’d thought but it still looks pretty good.
Saturday morning was looking like there was potential for a nice sunrise so I decided to head for Polperro; I’d attempted this shot earlier in the week but in my half-asleep state driving there I’d missed the road closure at Looe and going back to take the diversion would have meant missing the sunrise anyway. It’s somewhere I’ve shot before and liked the composition but the sky was not the greatest so it definitely required a return visit and luckily there was some nice high cloud to catch the pre-dawn colours.
We have had a lovely winter here in the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier regions of New York state. Since just before Christmas there has been a consistent, beautiful cover of snow and crisp, cold temperatures. Mix cold with water and you get ice - icy waterfalls. The afternoon sun peeked out at just the right time.

First visit to Garth Pier in Bangor, the day was full of grey sky, so I used the Colour Picker in camera to just show just the Pier Life Buoy in Colour.
After a few hours exploring underground this escalator bought me back to natural light. This was taken in Battersea Station on the London Underground, one of the newer stations on the Northern Line.

As I had to make the trip up to Exeter for work today I thought I’d start early and visit a couple of Tors on the way there, I had initially planned to just stop at Sharpitor but the mist that was rising from Burrator Reservoir was pulling me so I headed over to Leather Tor instead. After a while a beautiful spot of golden light lit up the Tor.
New area unlocked! I have driven past this location many a time but never stopped. These bridges are located in Berwyn, North Wales. Admittedly the conditions were not ideal, and the camera certainly could see more sky variation than I could. certainly an area to revisit at a later date.

First visit to Llyn y Dywarchen. Went with a friend who had previously visited, it's a lovely fishing lake with only a couple of other people around on this visit. Once for a change, there was low wind. The reflection from the Lake was perfect!
Agama or rainbow lizard.
Downtime at Laikipia Wilderness River camp is never dull. There were several agamas and skinks skittering around the mosquito netting and the rocks outside my room. It was just a case of being patient to catch them at their best.

This beautiful bridge is located between Betws-y-Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog. Whilst this location is not visible from the road, it's easily missed. Access however is straight forward with a gate leading down to the Waterfalls. I'm not sure I've ever seen this location photographed before so it was great to explore somewhere new.
A shot of the Tamar Bridge today, this time using ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) to blur the image and give it an abstract feel. I tried blurring the shot several different ways but felt that this vertical movement provided a good mix of blur while still having an identifiable object in the form of the road bridge tower. I know these shots can be a bit of a love/hate image, let me know what you think!
Taken on my first visit to Garth Pier in Bangor, North Wales. it was a day of Grey sky so much of my day was shot in B&W. being out of season it was very quite on the Pier with only a couple of other people around.
Sometimes when you’re editing a shot, you can see the potential but somehow it doesn’t quite deliver the goods… this was one of those shots where the colours didn’t seem to work in their natural state so I opted for some slightly fanciful colours instead.
A long exposure from Polhawn beach, I loved the arched set of rocks as they reached for the setting sun.
Taken from near the summit of Great Orme Nature reserve, near the Upper Station of the Llandudno Cable Cars.
I loved the simplicity of this shot overlooking Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm.
A panorama from Rame Head on Sunday night, looking at Skippy Sky I was hoping for a bit more high cloud to give a bit more colour in the sky but unfortunately the sunset was thwarted by low clouds on the horizon again!
It has been back to the typical Grey skies as expected in the UK today. It's been quite some time since I've used the Macro lens. The flat light does have its advantages in this respect. This shot was a stack of 15 images taken with my Olympus E-M1 II
Another one of the properties I photographed whilst in Dungeness. This Black, Timber built house stood out from all the rest right along the Coastline. I preferred the use of Black and White for this high contrast photo.
A re-issue from me today, purely because I’ve been playing with the trial of Dx0 PhotoLab and trying to decide if the lure of their “Prime” noise reduction function is enough to warrant the outlay. While this software is really designed for high-iso images, I’ve been testing it on standard images as well to see if it will eke out any more detail from existing RAW files.
