The Network Shield provides a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet PHY to allow connection to an Ethernet network. It provides the connectors and load switch to support use of the USB 2.0 OTG controller to implement USB device, USB host or OTG operation. It also provides two CAN transceivers and connectors to allow connection to two independent CAN networks. Connectors are provided to allow connection to two of the I2C busses supported by the Max32.

In addition to the communications features, the Network Shield also adds a 256Kbit I2C EEPROM for non-volatile data storage and a 32.768Khz oscillator to allow use of the Real Time Clock/Calendar (RTCC) peripheral in the PIC32 microcontroller.

The CNC router is a large, horizontal milling machine that can cut many types of materials, including plastics, Delrin and other non-ferrous materials. This particular machine handles a full sheet of 4’ x 8’ material and uses a 10-tool changer to pick the right cutter for the job. The primary use of this machine is to build our Parallax DIY solar panel products.

Programming microcontrollers reminds me of the good old MS-DOS days...when you would actually manipulate the registers of the graphics card directly and enable weird memory mapping modes to be able to have multiple screen buffers with 256 colors...it's the same now with micro controllers, digital accelerometers and highly integrated RF chips with convenient SPI interface...you get to play with tons of funny registers :) only now in 2011 the ICs are so small that I have to be careful not to inhale them by accident when I marvel at the......I'm rambling I should sleep now :)

The RADCASTle is monophonic synthesizer using analog sound-generating circuitry driven by a microcontroller. This was a ECE4007 Senior Design Project at Georgia Tech in the Fall 2008 semester. The team members were Robert Estelle, Logan Snow, Hoan To, and Greg Hartl.

The analog boards were purchased from Ray Wilson of Music From Outer Space. The team developed customer to interface the various analog synth boards with a PIC microcontroller through digital-to-analog converters.

Circuit board I made that fits into a Staples Easy button. Circuit includes microcontroller and flash chip programmed with digital samples of canned laughter. Rubber switch in center was sawn away from original Easy button PCB and epoxied onto mine.

Consists of an ESP-WROOM-02 (ESP8266) module and a PIC microcontroller (PIC1822).

I had a tin left over from a wallet I got last year. Luckily I saved the tin because the board fit perfectly inside.

After soldering some wire to short the 12 resistors on the LoL Shield I've uploaded some example code to test the LEDs - I find that I've got one duff LED that needs investigating to see if it's my soldering or just a dead LED.
