OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

My husband is an engineer for a company that does research and development for systems that monitor weather. I got to take pictures in the small museum they have there.

Macro Mondays: "My Closest"

An SD card that is for my drone. Alas I don't fly it anymore because it's just impossible to find legal places to fly that are worth photographing.

The image is about 1.5 cm (0.60 inches) on the long edge.

The Lost World

...a micro-landscape of lichen

This tiny flower measures, across it's widest diameter, measures only 3/16". Beautiful, tiny treasures tucked away in my lawn.

See my albums (sets) "Micro Weed Flowers" for more of these miniscule treasures.

Inspiration is from josh

This is a test I did to see if a micro d-day build would look good (hint hint BFVA2016). If I do a D-Day display it would be much bigger. The Higgins boats are josh's design. The studs on the beach are supposed to represent tank barricades.

Lost deep in the jungle. Or is it just a patch of moss measuring 3 by 4 cm? ;-)

Suddenly today, the garden seems over-run with flapping young Blue Tits and their frantic parents.

These two were making a proper racket.

North shore of the St. Lawrence River just downstream from the Cornwall Dam. Viewed from the top of the embankment of the Cornwall canal. Another view of its shoreline black willows below...

At the front is a clamper tug, which I think is my favourite micro-scale ship so far. Next is an exhaust ship. Finally there is a bulk core transporter.

There are images of the individual ships here: www.instagram.com/p/DJFTSLUiIr1/?img_index=1

I found this in a mixed native woodland area, that usually produces Bird-Cherry Ermines. This little beauty was smaller, greyer and seemed to have less spots than the B.C.E. Any ID assistance gratefully received.

I'd forgotten how much fun microscale is! Not even sure where I got the aurora borealis idea, but it was a fun one to run with. Also coincidentally used a bunch of swords--5 to be precise (sadly, the little knives at the end of the drawbridge aren't categorized as swords by BrickLink), so though I had no intention of entering Iron Forge this year... well, I can't pass this up!
