As i wanted to focus more on the iris part of the eye, I decided to experiment with an USB micro camera.
I was able to capture closer images of the area that i wanted yet was still unhappy with my results as the camera is not very good quality and i would prefer to take a photo with high quality.
Also, I would have preferred it if my photographs had been taken in natural light to prevent any glares and added colouring due to classroom lighting. This was unable to happen.
As the camera had to be so close to the eye, reflections that were not wanted were also photographed.
Just in passing: this is a very young Dragonfly...very little in size; it pleases me greatly to see new generations coming to my yard!

My yard is usually full of Dragonflies at some point during each day and one really cool behavior I've observed from them is that when I'm mowing my lawn they will congregate around me and my mower and attack all of the bugs that are disturbed by my mowing and fly up from out of my lawn!
Now...I'm outside in my yard a lot. They don't flock around me that way when I'm doing any other type of yard work or just out taking photos, but only when I've got the mower cranked up.
And yesterday I observed something that makes me think they have awesome hearing or else they're psychic: there was not a Dragonfly to be seen anywhere when I began to mow. The second that mower cranked up and before I had pushed it 30 feet the Dragonflies were swarming around me and feasting on the bugs I stirred up! Incredible!

a small pretty moth flew past me and landed on a small twig, i havent seen many moths or butterflies so far this year
Esta minúscula aranha de apenas 5mm foi encontrada no interior de uma planta, foi quase impossível definir do que se tratava realmente até que olhei pelo display da câmera e vi que era uma aranha. Infelizmente não consegui ampliação maior que 1:1 pois após poucos cliques ela se evadiu e não foi mais possível fotografá-la.

I finally got round to making the micro version of the witches tower display. As with the others I always enjoy trying to cram as many details I can into these little build. I wanted to try something different with the base by building the water out of plates on there side. This raised the water half a plate higher than the border. It’s subtle but I feel it makes the build look a lot cleaner.
