Early build after getting the LEGO Architecture Studio set and some other supplemental pieces. Extreme close-up.

Project - THEATRE
"One Night Only"
By Daniel Doggett
The showcase for the Micro Commission Theatre project took place on Sunday 5 October 2014 in the Cornerhouse Annexe.
One Night Only (written by Daniel Doggett) revolves around the theme of escapism, with the narrative following two very different men who both happen to be having a really hard time of it. Over the space of one weekend, the two of them share more with each other than they have with anybody else in their entire lives. They reveal their most intimate thoughts and secrets. It seems unrealistic that two strangers would be so open with each other, but that’s the point. After this short time they’ll never see each other again, so this weekend is just a time to escape the difficulties they’re each facing in their lives. The performance starred two local actors and was directed by a local director.

On the far left is the most adorable bunny, holding an apron of apples. She came all the way from England. Then a set of mini depression glass. Next is one of my first attempts at making pottery - my try at a spongewear cassarole dish. And finally, two painted wooden kitties from Germany.

Keeping with tradition I made a miniature version of this years Lego display. Really happy with how this one turned out especially the truck. It was very difficult trying to get the details I wanted but I got there in the end. I really enjoy the problem solving that comes with building miniatures even if I do pull some hair out along the way.
