A little Shetland Pony (I assume). Part of a charity collection, and of course I donated before taking a photo.
(I added it to the map, correctly placed in the centre of Peterborough's main shopping street. But the map calls it 'Old Fletton'. Fletton actually stops at the river and this is well north of that. Can anyone fix it?)
Spider seen in my house on a textured, off-white wall. Taken in Albany, CA by a Nikkormat FT2 with a Micro-Nikkor 55mm ƒ3.5 lens on Kodak Portra 400VC. Negative scanned into computer by an HP G4010. Flash used is a Vivitar 16a, handheld, firing from the lower left. (creating that shadow!) Exposure is 1/60 sec @ ƒ 32...
Size indication: the spider's center body (cephalothorax & abdomen...) is about 1 cm long...

well we were in one of the finger lake towns, and stopped for a bite to eat in a famous resturant and tried a a beer ...with our lunch of course... it was apricot wheat.. it was light and refreshing not overpowering fruity . so heres one for you all to lok for this tipsy tuesday
there was a huge line and a huge board of options at toscanini's. i couldnt decide. everyone in front of me was ordering a micro sundae, so i was a sheep and did the same. my peanut butter ice cream was packed into the bottom of a paper espresso cup. piled high with hot fudge and home made whipped cream. YUM. just the right size, and just the right price: $3.00
Yes, I know I am obsessed. Now think of the hundreds of takes that did not make it to flickr. And still, the drippy faucet bests me.
Did you see the spider note in my last photo?
There really was a spider there, and here he is! He floated out of the sky on a piece of silk and landed right there in front of me. He was so tiny that I put a small instant oatmeal flake on the table next to him for scale.

Micro 110 camera (possibly originally made by Haking/Halina). Fixed focus 20mm lens, single aperture and shutter speed. Folding plastic viewfinder, originally came with a coin keeper in the shape of a 110 cartridge and key chain.

I haven't been getting outdoors as much as usual so my wife talked me into a nice evening walk. Ever since I have gotten into photography I have slowly started to notice light more. This being my first real fall with a camera and some idea of how to use it I am realizing how beautiful the light is this time of year. Our evening walk was no exception. This was shot with a canon 100L and i think it shows how well the IS works. I was definitely breaking the rules by shooting a 100 at 1/50s handheld but I think it worked out fine. For PP I used just a touch of split toning, adding yellow to the highlights and blue to the shadows. Thanks for having a look!
