okay so i promised that i wouldn't be late with this, but sadly i broke that promise, fortunately though i am not that late.
I am only late on this upload by about15-20 minutes.
okay so this is the photo i was talking about in my last post. It's a wide angle shot with a really shallow depth of field. i don't have a lens that can do that, nor is it artificial.
all the bokeh you see there is all the bokeh that was captured in camera.
so how did i do this? i cheated. i followed Ryan Brenizer's tutorial on how to acheive this affect. you can flickr him and see the really awesome shots that he does uising this method, he's a wedding photographer, so his shots are all with people [which is even better]

in it he says to use a fast telephoto lens. i assume he means something along the lines of the 85mm 1.4 that he uses, but i don't have that...
what i do have however is a normal lens at 50mm 1.8 but since i don't have a full frame camera and the sensor on my d60 is a DX frame or a cropped [smaller] sensor than that of a full frame D3 or something or other when i put my 50mm 1.8 on my d60 that 50mm 1.8 is transformed into a 75mm 1.8 which is a telephoto..
so i've got my pesudo-telephoto lens here and i tried out his method, and i have to say i am surprisingly happy with the result. although the subject is very mundane, and it is kind of a lame ass photo, i'm just happy the technique worked out.
you'll see many more of these "bokehrama" shots shot with the "Brenizer Method" on my stream soon, you might even see a good one tomorrow, and i mean a good one, not like this one, this one's crap, but i needed a photo for a 365 so here it is...
