Taken during Venturing Cayo Costa Weekend 2010, October 29-31, 2010.

This image is after Alfred Stieglitz's idea of the "equivalent." Believe it or not the invasive species in this photograph is pinyon pine and Utah juniper which are invading sage steppe habitats because of an enriched CO2 environment. Notice the wild horse tracks around the anthill.

Also a METAPHOR OF LIFE, of knots and ropes and hooks?

A lot of my photographs evoke the metaphor for life.

And this image, taken in Spain and one of my favourite photo of that holiday.

Circles, ties, knots, rope, scarred background…

You have the circle, example; I took my granddaughter to a place where I had taken my boys and my parents and grand-parents had taken me.

We are surrounded by circles, sun, moon; we LIVE on a ‘circle’

Lots of things come in cycles.

There are bonds that always remain.

You have the ropes= attachment, friendships, ties with your chosen partner, it is beautifully tight.

The other ropes, to me represents the freedom to remain you, free and individual, to go in any direction you choose.

There can be chains...

Lighter and darker areas, scars underneath, I’m sure that will echo for most of you…

BUT, THE SUN MAKES THE METAL SHINING, SOME ROPES ARE BLEACHED, others COLOURFUL.

LIFE IS GOOD...

Hope you enjoy this as much as I do, I get a kick out of it each time I see it AND I remember the moment I took it...

Have a great day and thank you for your visit, so very much appreciated, Magda, (*_*)

This image is a metaphor because though both flowers are the same age, one is dying and one is healthy. This is a metaphor for the way people live their lives. Some live their life to the fullest, while others let themselves "die."

A metaphor for the Russian Revolution, animal farm surrounds the lives of farm animals who overthrow their incompetent human farmers. However, someone's about to take the humans place as dictators.

«Ogni tanto mi chiedo cosa mai stiamo aspettando.»

«Che sia troppo tardi, madame.»

Amazing that this fits inside my skull...

Running low - but still trying to stay in the daily photo groove. This is probably cheating (not sure if screen captures count?!) but it just so perfectly summed up my day!

A new light switch on an old wall. The remains of the glue that held the old wood panelling are a metaphor for male dominance that is stuck firmly in the past.

I didn't take this picture intending some like of weird social commentary but you certainly could use this photo for a caption contest. As the man stares longingly into his beer his your son puts at his arm....
