That's trains not trans!
Although some people do like messing with trans, even a well known author who recently decided to make some unsavoury comments about us in defence of a woman who had her contract terminated supposedly due to her belief that trans people cannot change our birth gender!
It went to court and the judge ruled against her.
When you read more details it seems her termination was due more to her actions regarding a member of staff she worked with who she refused to refer to in the gender the person identified as saying." if you are born male/female I will refer to you in that way not how you identify". She also apparently wrote these views on her twitter account.
Needless to say the extreme trans community police has piled a mountain of abuse on her and J K Rowling who is also an outspoken feminist and has been known to harbour anti trans views,
Its not worth playing with an emotive issue like this as it can destroy a reputation and us Trans folk are like the cockroach will survive whatever these people trow at us.
Anyway back to steam engines any excuse to climb one i will.

Spent a couple of hours trying on evening dresses for an event on soon. Forgot how lovely some things are to wear :)
when the tide goes out it exposes a mess of tiny stones at the edge of the sand - Mother Nature is a messy worker at times
Taken on another trip to the abandoned Winn Dixie, this time I used my Hasselblad. Fuji velvia 50, 2 min exposure at f/11. These scans from an Agfa d-lab 2plus are ok, I need a coolscan!
Barely noticeable, but I enjoy the "ank you for shopping..."
Here is Arriva Buses Wales VDL Cadet CX07 CRV 2635 seen at the Bangor bus station as it's operating passangers while its doing the route X5 to Llandudno. This was new to Arriva at Chester in 2007 and 2635 needs to upgrade it more than that as it hasn't got the WIFI added yet.

I lost about 15 shots off this roll because of some issue with the film advance. I had a few slides with more than 5 exposures each. View this large, this guy has dirt all over him. Pachinko addiction is a very real problem in Japan and this guy didn't even take time to clean up from work before he came to waste his entire paycheck at the slots.
This winged ant is these days after the rains and the sunrise everywhere in Aracena, these specimens are photographed on my roof, thanks to Manuel Baena of the Andalusian Entomology Society I am in the genus Messor for its size and head red I think it can be Messor barbarus although I'm not sure. Thousands of future queens without wings run through streets and fields in search of a location for a new anthill.

Here's the result of BNSF grain train G-OMAEAP-1 striking a flat bed semi hauling a rock crusher at Merrick Tower on the W. edge of Emporia, KS on 07-04-1998, at 11:25am. There where no injuries to the crew, but all four engines derailed along with 23 cars of corn. I was passing over the tracks on Interstate 35 ninety minutes latter and observed the mess. Needless to say I made an illegal 'U' turn to obtain this image.
Beaver pond, Leslie Spit, Toronto.
Not a shining example from this camera and not sure exactly how I messed this one up!
Test roll with my Konica 1 rangefinder made in occupied Japan (1948).
Took me 9 months to finish the roll. Had several blanks and double exposures as I didn't keep record if I advanced the film.
Made in Occupied Japan (MIOJ)
The “Made in Occupied Japan” identification mark is better known to most camera collectors as MIOJ. References to this mark appear often in camera literature dealing with the history of post-war Japan. Aside from the company name and the camera’s serial number, the MIOJ mark was the first post-war foreign mark to appear on early Canon cameras, lenses, and accessories. Early in 1947 the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers (SCAP) issued Decree 1535, stating that all export items must be identified with an engraving “Made in Occupied Japan.” The first MIOJ-marked base plates appeared on early cameras released after September 9, 1947.
