Explored!

This beautiful aquarium at the Toronto Pearson Airport caught my eyes and blew my mind away the first time I saw it. It was the most beautiful mess I had ever seen. Whenever I see it it reminds me of asteroids and the Cosmic Mess......

When the thing you are supposed to photograph is not that inspiring....

But it was a lovely night - unseasonably warm and still.

Maybe too much messing about for Macro Mondays, but I do like how the product codes on the base of this aluminium can popped out with Neon image processing in Picasa.

Still messing around at Zaanse Schans :)

For some reason Evil Teddy Bear speaks with a Russian accent in my head, just like Kevin Durand would...:)

Broken Arrow, OK woke to a nasty mess, nothing to stop travel but definitely slow it down, freezing rain and sleet now just a cold day ahead.

My.. my I've made myself all excited over putting this beautiful dress on.

I went out yesterday to capture some of the ice on all the trees and ended up messing with the settings on my new lens so much i dont have a lot to post but learned a lot.

I did however like this and a couple others that i will post later.

Off to work now so catch up with you all in about 13 hours.

This was shot looking into a light store the window of which provided the scrambled montage you see here. It rather reminds me of the state the world is in these days.

Achingly alone on the shore - staring longingly,

waiting for an elusive 'something'.

Mountainous banks of cloud rearing overhead,

edges tinged by weak winter sun.

Feeling nothing in chilled bone,

unable to leave, waiting for the icy water's return.

There he stood.

Neither waving nor drowning.

The light yesterday was really beautiful at times and meant that some shots

appeared quite mystical. I really like the way this one turned out - straight out

the camera, no Photoshop or any messing about, just reduced exposure.

Oh, and today's soup? Green Pea, Ham & Leek ... currently simmering away nicely!

Sometimes you just make the wrong decision in life. Today was one of those days....

The ultimate goal of the day was to shoot the moonrise. At 94.5% it was almost full but still a little detail to be had. TPE was checked yesterday and it was due to rise 8mins after sunset. Perfect for an orange moon against a pink sky.

We had scouted for shrooms first then saved enough time to get back up high for the main event. Checking PhotoPills on the ascent for its position revealed it was already up!!! WTF!!

My settings for TPE must be on the wrong time zone!
