Dal 2000 nel parco del castello medievale di Pralormo, nel cuore del Piemonte, la straordinaria fioritura di oltre 75.000 tulipani e narcisi annuncia la primavera: ogni edizione di questo evento botanico ospita un nuovo piantamento, completamente rinnovato nelle varietà e nel progetto-colore. La manifestazione coinvolge tutto il parco, progettato nel XIX secolo dall’architetto di corte Xavier Kurten, artefice dei più importanti giardini delle residenze sabaude.

Since 2000 in the grounds of the medieval castle of Pralormo, in the heart of Piedmont, the extraordinary flowering of over 75,000 tulips and daffodils announce spring: each edition of this event Botanical hosts a new planting, completely renovated in variety and in the project-color. The event involves the entire park, designed in the nineteenth century by the court architect Xavier Kurten, creator of the most important gardens of the Savoy residences.

#SheMakes: the makerfest for Girl Geeks

Wondering what all this Maker business is about? If you’re full of curiosity about 3D printing, wearables and all the things (!) this event introduces basic Making concepts in a friendly way.

More advanced makers also had the opportunity to get down and dirty with design software and coding, building wearables and messing around with the printers we had for the event.

I hauled out a mess of scraps to see what I had for the impromptu project. I briefly considered the black white and red plaid, but it didn't fit the style or the season. I went with a scrap of depression era reproduction print that I had laying around.

Most of these salmon are anywhere from 15~35lbs. I had to open up shop so could not stay and see how they finished up.
