...and the living room a little bit. Two more chairs to put together, but mostly I'm just excited to have a dining room! that we can eat in! Eeep!
This is... well... an "Accidental Mess" ;)
When I got my blending board, I grabbed some bits of leftover fibers and proceeded to blend them. Wool, silk, chunky bits and fabric scraps - everything went into these rollags. This should have created some lovely chunky art yarn.
However, once I was ready to spin the rollags, I just went with the flow. The flow demanded they be spun a lot thinner than I had originally planned.
When I was done, I looked at my bobbin and couldn't settle on a plying method. It was either winding off half of the single to create a two-ply, plying with two strands of sewing thread or chain-plying.
Then, while browsing a local thrift store, I discovered option no. 4. One of their bins held several (tangled!) balls of a cheerfully pink novelty yarn that is really not much more than sewing thread with eyelash-y bits.
At home, I introduced my single to this pink novelty yarn and an "Accidental Mess" was born. Go figure ;)
Mason has a party every year (since she was 3) for New Year's. Now the girls are "tweens", and not reliant on parents to have a good time. I took this photo of the girls before they woke up on New Year's day - which was sometime before noon.
Kyle is part of a group who decided to have a "mess fest". The idea being to get together with a bunch of kids on a soccer field and douse each other with lots of messy food items.
Among these were: mustard, Hershey's chocolate syrup, yogurt, flower, BBQ sauce, cottage cheese, mayonaise, and corn syrup

too simple and easy to do, i could pop out like twenty of these easily. that worries me. too easy to do. sooooo ill prolly stop making them i guess.
Swapped the egg for an extra sausage. With coffee for £4.30 = Bargain. Pity we had to wait almost 45 minutes for it. From the Mess Cafe in Amhurst Road, Hackney, London.
