Some of the shots are merges across several exposures. There was a huge dynamic range between the darkest dark and brightest bright. This image was from a failed merge and I rather liked it.

Jaguar merged with BMC in 1966 and then with Leyland in 1968.
The Jaguar E-Type (XK-E) was a sports car produced from 1961-74. A Roadster and a Fixed head coupe were available.
1961 Series I; 3.8 litre 6 cylinder from the XK150. ‘Jaguar’ badge on boot, covered headlights
1966; 2+2 coupe added (9 inches longer)
1967; 4.2-litre 6 cylinder, also improved seats, brakes and electrical system. Jaguar 4.2 Litre E-Type' badge on boot.
1968 Series 1½; Series II open headlights, and reduction of carburettors from 3 to 2.
1969 Series II; larger mouth grille, indicators now below the bumpers, the rear bumper now wrapped around, head restraints were introduced.
1971 Series III; 5.3 litre V12, (A few early cars had the 4.2), large cross-slatted grille and flared wheel arches. Jaguar V12 E-type badge on boot. The short wheelbase coupe body discontinued, only a convertible and 2+2 coupé
Series II engine; 246hp dual SU carburetted 4.2 litre six-cylinder.
This was taken in Maryland. It is part of the Chesapeake Bay and the Elk River. They did a nice job merging, eh?

Spring time... It was too hot, and I had just several minutes to take the shots before the watering was all over the place.

Eventually, all things merge* into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops...
