Sorry - all my pics are super blurry! I'll post more soon.

Merging onto the freeway.

From album description:

The photos here are the results of me experimenting with long exposure photography while driving. I've seen pictures and videos where the car is engulfed by lights streaming by, so I am attempting to replicate this. I used a Delkin Gecko suction cup mount to mount my Nikon D5300 onto the back windshield of my car, and I used the wi-fi remote app on my phone to take the photos. As you can see, images are clear when I drive slowly or am stationary; at speed, the vibrations from the road create subtle movements that make the image look blurry. I'm thinking a lower exposure time will help; anyone out there have suggestions?

A 1960 Chevrolet merges onto the Ohio Turnpike. I would haved liked a few more pictures - closer up, but didn't want to drive 85mph to catch up to it....this guy was moving!

these are two holga long exposures merged manually by myself (because autostitch refused to even try and PS photomerge produced an even worse result, leaving a black gap in the middle). there's nothing special about this shot apart from the way it was exposed. scott measured the light with his regular camera, and told me to expose for about a second and a half at f/8. i then put my holga on a tripod, switched to bulb and exposed for approximately 1,5 - 2 - 2,5 seconds. the two shots came out pretty similar, considering that they're pure improvisation.

2016 Weekly Alphabet Challenge, week 13, M for Moonlight

This has been the worst week for capturing moonlight, I did catch the moon between the branches of the bare trees very early on Easter Monday, but that in itself didn't make for the most inspired image. Then today I found this newly published book of poems by fellow Blipper and group member Ella in our mail box in The Netherlands , what a lovely surprise ! And I merged the moons :-)

Moonlight has always been an inspiration for artists, think of the countless pieces of music and poems written because of the moon.

When I was coming up the stairs my eyes was caught by the sunlight on the textured wall. I knew it would look great as a picture with a low aperture.

Due to the strike I had to drop-off my dad at his job. After dropping him off, I decided not to leave right away. Instead to photograph the surroundings a bit... This is the Mobil gas station on the Eastbound Grand Central Parkway (which, if from NYC, you may know is right across LaGuardia Airport). There's also a Dunkin Donuts on site which attracts attention.

As I geared up from my van and headed for the divider towards the highway I heard someone call me. It was a bunch of middle-aged men sitting in a car while their other buddy was in Dunkin Donuts. This is how the conversation went...

Stranger: Hey, Hey You!!!

I turned and headed towards them...

Stranger: You are not allowed to photograph the airport.

Me (with the usual smile on my face): Who said I'm photographing the airport.

Stranger: It sure seems like it and I'm just telling you that you are not allowed. (notice he said "telling")

Me (still smiling): No I was just gonna frame the highway. (which is true, btw. I had no interest in the airport)

Stranger (turns to his friends in the backseat and says something, turns back with a weird look on his face, frowns): Go Ahead...!!! (waves his hand towards the highway)

Me (off course sensing that there is something uncomfortable to them about me going out there): Don't worry man! I might look like one, but I'm NOT a terrorist. Believe me!

Stranger breaks into a smile.

Me (look back at the airport, then the highway and then back at the stranger): Usually those guys are much taller than me. (I’m 5-3)

Stranger (now chuckled and so did his friends): Given the sense of humor you’ve got, I wouldn’t suspect you as one. Go ahead, do watcha gotta do…

I went ahead and shot this. And _Nod I swear I saw a Mini in this frame… somehow it was too fast and slipped out of it ;)

...began with old archive albums from parents house..took to library with scanner,,,began scanning & later downloading,,,etc...many years ago, now putting together ("merging" ) & "tagging" & narrating,,,its combination jpeg & pdf..a TON of photos..and its really interesting to me to put together the pieces of the puzzle..where I came from..not just the rough draft, but details..and there's more than most families have because both my grandfather's remarried after their first wife's death...(both of my grandma's died before I was born, so I only knew my "step-grandma" so to speak)...and there were kids from the 2nd marriages (5 on my dad's side, 3 on my mom's side)..and so 10 aunts & uncles on my dad's side & 8 aunts & uncles on mom's side (including half & step aunts & uncles) ...and they married and had kids, & so on & so forth..& my mom & dad avidly tried to keep up with how everybody was/is doing..christmas cards etc, and now I'm trying to put the pieces together (add to it that my dad was/is a church pastor & made three major moves in his life (iowa, michigan, california) & all the Parishioners or CPE students (in Michigan he was not a church pastor but a hospital pastor) became part of the extended "family" (the body of Christ)..so its a big puzzle to put together when trying to include pics, dates, names, narration, who what, when why, how, etc..will take a while..

A merge of a colour picture of cars, taken in the early evening, with a black and white shot of someone driving.

The "mural of murals" in a BC town named Chemainus. It's on all the postcards. The image was stitched and then adjusted to get rid of a blue cast, so the colours might not be completely faithful.

From different places and species they came here and waited for the water to rise and the next stage of the journey.
