Vintage menu from the Dixieland days of the Bayou, the famed supper club at 3135 K St NW under the Whitehurst Freeway in Georgetown. The Bayou opened as a Dixieland club in 1953 and continued that format until the mid 1960s, when it switched to rock 'n roll and became famous.

The morning menu on January 6,2009 . I don`t eat breakfast here that often but once in a while it`s a quick belly filler though the sandwiches are on the small side i think. The #2 breakfast meal is what i`d grab, holds me over for a couple of hours and for lunch i`d grab a #5, that sits in the belly well though has the potential for making it bigger real quick.

Vintage menu from the Golden Ox, a 300-seat Western style steakhouse, opened at 1615 L St NW in 1962. Featuring cattle longhorns on the walls, black leather padded banquettes, and waiters in string ties, the eatery was a branch of a Kansas City steakhouse chain that had begun in the 1940s. The popular restaurant stayed in business until 1982, giving way to demolition for construction of an office building.

Cute and quirky menu, but the prices aren't correct. I got charged AUD10 for a stone bowl dolsot bibimbap, and the regular one was only AUD9.50 :)
