Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Flipped little black bag. Way of Vista Domes. Purchased at SPUD gift shop across the concourse from Stationmaster's Ofiice early 1960's for .50. Hershey's kisses inside long gone. Q was a class act in Murphy era.
Speak of childhood memories!!!
One night we had some gusty winds, a bit thundery, so in our garden, on the grass were hundreds of those, blown off their home, the maple tree... No seed in there yet, they were fresh, so no flying... we'd have to wait for autumn.
The innocent fun you could have with those twirly thingies, throwing them up, running after them (kept us fit!), guarding and treasuring your 'best' ones!
Used the ring flash on this.
Now, DO NOT rush out to get one of those!
It is not a priority, has quite 'limited' usage, is particular and specific and not the easiest to use! I use it together with other sources of lighting, but that's my game, my challenge (obsession?) literally PLAYING and PAINTING with light.
Have a fun day and thanx, M, (*_*)

Why not view the set as a slide-show?
Also I often upload more that one image at the same time, I see a tendency to only view the last uploaded...

Walking up a dusty road to my Grandpa's farm- the sunfowers were as tall as trees. The sun was warm and the road was soft under my bare feet.

Sculpted in beautiful marble, the memorial to Colonel Alexander Champion caught my eye during a visit to Bath Abbey.
The lighting was perfect to highlight this lovely detailed memorial.
I discovered its talented creator was one Joseph Nollekens RA (1737 - 1823), born in England.
And Alexander Champion served in the army of the East India Company for two decades. He became the Commander in Chief in 1774.
He died in Bath in 1793.

I try to breathe
Memories overtaking me
I try to face them but
The thought is too much to conceive

"Anyone with a heart, with a family, has experienced loss. No one escapes unscathed. Every story of separation is different, but I think we all understand that basic, wrenching emotion that comes from saying goodbye, not knowing if we'll see that person again - or perhaps knowing that we won't."

Footfalls echo in the memory

Woe is me, the older I get
I must try to remember not to forget
I believe my mind is still in fair shape
Yet, so many things just seem to escape
My memory lapse is hard to ignore
I have need to remember those things from before
Without recollection, I’ll forever be seeking
Things from the past, historically speaking
If I could remember past trips to far places
My travel companions, and all of their faces
I’d gratefully stay in thought so reflective
Past, present and future would have more perspective
I sometimes wonder about things I recall
Is my vision of them not true at all
Likely they’re pictured in great extreme
Or perhaps fictioned from one of my dreams
I hope I’ll eventually see through this curtain
This curtain that’s keeps me so very uncertain
The one sure way to escape this dilemna
Is to never forget to always remember

The last picture from my series called "Memories".
One last detail from my childhood.
This house is sold now, but not people I loved there, or the moments I lived.
Not my memories.
