Taken with my old SLR Ihagee Exa I.
Not quite sharp in the places it should be, but I still like the atmosphere of the image.
Aufgenommen mit meiner alten Spiegelreflexkamera Ihagee Exa I.
Nicht ganz scharf an den richtigen Stellen, aber mir gefällt die Atmosphäre des Bildes trotzdem.
Memory Series.
I don't think I'll upload them all..I don't know how I feel about them. These are the ones I like the most.
This experience from my youth, related to gender fluidity, remains vividly in my memory:
It was Rosenmontag in 1986, and all the schools in Kiel were celebrating Carnival. I loved this day—not so much because of the dressing up, but because there was no school. Consequently, I was quite unprepared. The weekend before Rose Monday, it was already too late for my mother to buy or sew a costume.
Then my sister had the brilliant idea that I could simply wear one of her dresses. She had a straw hat with braided pigtails on it, and my mother's sandals with a small heel also fit me. So, on Monday morning, I set off with the clothes in my bag to my classmate's house. His mother was going to drive us to school.
Curious, she asked what I was wearing—and was subsequently quite impressed. Instead of the straw hat, she gave me a wig and some makeup. On the way to school, we stopped at Aldi to buy snacks, and she even bought me a pair of tights to complete the look.
In the end, I actually won first prize for best costume. But much more important than the prize was the feeling of having been completely myself for a day—long before I knew that terms like genderfluid would exist for it.
A livery I never thought I'd see again! 125 Group HST power car no. 43060 'Heaton 150' leads three recently repainted InterCity Mk3s and sister no. 43025 'Exeter' past Wilmorton, Derby, running as 5J26 13:22 Toton TMD to the 125 Group's home at the East Lancashire Railway, Bury.
The set had worked up from Brush, Loughborough earlier in the day, having been repainted there and unveiled a few weeks ago.
This one's a real trip back down memory lane for me, having spent many a happy hour as a kid watching GNER HSTs and 91s on the ECML (though personally I always preferred the gold lettering). Really good to see the early privatisation schemes brought back to life alongside classic BR colours!
When I was in Intermediate School, my sister introduced me to the beautiful process of a memory book. In this memory book, I have moments and experiences of my life. These experiences range from parties to concerts to a simple burger trip with some friends. This book is my everything. Having and keeping a memory book has reminded me how every single day matters, regardless of how insignificant it may feel.
On the day before my 18th birthday, August 13 this year, I did my last entry in my memory book. It is so beautiful how things work out sometimes. :)
As a present, the same sister that purchased my first memory book, brought me my second one. Adulthood has begun, and I can't wait to see the pages fill up and age with memories.
Thank you, Angel, for showing me how precious my life really is.

An old friend of mine told me I should scan up each page onto a website and publish my memory book, but I don't know yet, we shall see. ;)

Memories, pressed between the pages of my mind
Memories, sweetened through the ages just like wine,
Memories, memories, sweet memories
A subtle reminder of the way we were only a few months ago. I love the changing of the seasons.
I bought this fabric in Bright Victoria while on a family holiday in the snow last year.
I teamed the fabrics with a cotton/linen blend and then stipple quilted it.

An old abandoned country store, found on a single lane gravel path, near Eagle Rock Virginia. While this whole area is beautiful, the economy in this area is quite depressed.

Much of the current knowledge of memory has come from studying memory disorders. Loss of memory is known as amnesia. There are many sorts of amnesia, and by studying their different forms, it has become possible to observe apparent defects in individual sub-systems of the brain's memory systems, and thus hypothesize their function in the normally working brain. Other neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease can also affect memory and cognition. Hyperthymesia, or hyperthymesic syndrome, is a disorder which affects an individual's autobiographical memory, essentially meaning that they cannot forget small details that otherwise would not be stored.[10] Korsakoff's syndrome, also known as Korsakoff's psychosis, amnesic-confabulatory syndrome, is an organic brain disease that adversely affects memory.

Doesn't look much this time of the year. But this is where the magic happens at Midsummer most years, not counting 2020. The open-air dance floor at Årsta Havsbad.
Posting a memory of a before Ike day when laughter was heard in the skies over Galveston. It may be a while before I go back but I'm sure that one of the first sounds to be heard will be the laughter of the laughing gulls hunting for scraps on the beach.
While visiting Wells Cathederal in Somerset, me and Wiffs stumbled upon this gorgeous cobbled street of old houses.... it really felt like we had stepped back hundreds of years....processed it like this to try to add to the atmosphere, but you really had to be there to appreciate it fully :o)
