On a beautiful warm Wednesday evening I cycled over to the Millennium dome as I still like to call it or present title the 02 arena on Greenwich peninsula along the Thames river path from Woolwich.
The largest concert venue in the UK was certainly different & quieter to the last time I was here for obvious reasons!
It has never been my favourite London music venue as I prefer the sound, exciting atmosphere & slope of Brixton academy. The perfect size, funny memories & acoustics of London forum & the beautiful intimacy of Union chapel.
But it holds a special place in my heart as it reminds me of my dear departed mum who visited here with her friends when it opened back in 2000 & I remember her so happy about telling me what a fantastic day she had, showing me photos & momentos she had bought....Joyful memories :0)
I look back on the summer with nostalgia. It's raining here, it's cold. I can enjoy the pictures of summer.

Going on long hikes with the Manchester Coach Ramblers.
This was my favourite time of the year going out to different places and seeing all the beautiful flowers and wildlife.
Sadly the pandemic put a stop to all that but hopefully the easing of the lockdown will allow it to happen again. I can't wait to see all my friends again.

Love discovering old photos and studying the subject matter. Fun to see what was important to people back when, the things they thought worthy of preserving in a photo. Sometimes it's people posing for the camera, casual moments, relaxing, or just goofing around. As the emulsion breaks down on old negs, and prints begin to discolor and fade, it's as if the the scene or event is fading from memory, or even reality. You begin to think that once the photo is gone, it will be as if it was never taken in the first place. Photos as ephemeral as life itself.
Last week we had to say goodbye to our sweet, loyal friend, Banjer.
Banjer, a Kooikerhondje, a spaniel-like Dutch breed, had cancer.
He was 12 ½ years old.
Afgelopen week hebben wij afscheid moeten nemen van onze allerliefste trouwe vriend, Banjer, een kooikerhandje.
Hij had kanker en is 12 ½ jaar geworden.

Lynnewood Hall, Elkins Park, PA
Lynnewood Hall is an amazing old Neoclassical Revival Mansion with about 110 rooms located in the Philadelphia suburb of Elkins Park.
It is currently undergoing renovations after sitting nearly vacant for years, it was designed by architect Horace Trumbauer for industrialist Peter A. B. Widener and built between 1897 and 1900. Considered the largest surviving Gilded Age mansion in the Philadelphia area,
