I was inspired by folk art memory jugs. All of the pieces on the pumpkin are family memorabilia.

When you stick a memory card in the front of your Media Center PC, or even multi-format USB memory card reader, so you have to guess which drive letter is which memory format?

I used to, a simple hack gives you visual icons that represent all of the major memory formats! Problem solved!

Memories that are hard to forget

Here is a full shot of one side of this vintage memory vase. There are a lot of old buttons here and a lot of metal jewelry pieces such as crosses and brooches.

Memory Lane is a section of waterfront trail in South Foster Park along the eastern shore of the Bay of Quinte.

Memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.

~Kevin Arnold

Yesterday was the anniversary of my son Martin's death. We went to the cemetery with my other children and two of my grandchildren. One of my grandchildren asked me if Martin is now a ghost. I wasn't quite sure how to answer that question.

Martin usually has 2 anniversaries of his death. He died on a 6th April that was also a Good Friday. This year, yesterday was 6th April and today is Good Friday.

In this photo I'm holding a jar of memories. The label reads "The Song is ENDED, BUT THE melody LINGERS ON.

My Birthday is in the beginning of July, as was my Fathers, Grandfathers and severl others in the family...thus, the Forth of July was choosen as the day to celebrate these..Hot Dogs with heaps of mustard, potato salad, Deviled Eggs Covered with Paprika, Ice Cream made in a bucket filled with ice and salt....Dogwoods in bloom, Fireflys blinked accross the sky at night....and fireworks ended the event with a bang.

Now in Oz, it is Winter...and nothing like these days...not sad, as I am in a place I love...but this time of year brings back memorys...

Like the 4th Dad was showing off a new horse and rode over a field that had a ditch...thinking the horse would jjust jump over the ditch, it stoped instead, fliping my Dad over the head of the horse, and in some sort of miracle he landed on his feet....to the applause of the entire family...

Memorys....

Library of Congress illustration from the magazine Puck of an elderly gentleman (I almost said "old man" but then remembered my age and said something else instead) appearing to enjoy his memories.

Here is my little sister Julia.

July.Contryside. How sunny it was. But not now. It's rainy outside. No sun..I wish it were sunny outside!

SOOC except the inscription

This page is for Donna's 'Shades of Brown' album. The tag inside the envelope reads:

For me, this colour and shades of it, represents treasured memories and keepsakes: aged letters and photographs.

………………………………

I found an article recently which talked about how, under threat from their loss of natural habitat, polar bears are resorting to cannibalism, wandering into human habitats looking for food and — incredibly - there is some evidence that their fur is subtly beginning to change colour (brown) to blend in with their changing surroundings!

………………………………

So - perhaps, one day - a photograph of a white polar bear, will also be regarded as a treasured memory or keepsake — a reminder of something lost.

This is a piece I did for OPUS Magazine. It will be featured in their online edition for an article entitled "Lethe" which discusses Dr.Freud and his studies on memory. Originally I was going to use another illustration that I had been working on but then decided to scrap it after hitting a few road blocks. I jumped to my next idea which was to incorporate Freud using some some sort of hypnotic psychic ability to extract memories from his patients. I'm pretty satisfied with the way this turned out and hopefully a lot of people will get to read the great article it'll be attached to.

I don't think I ever uploaded this one. It's in Kefalonia, Greece, in the summer of 2009 - the best summer of my life.

There's sand all over my face.

.. then i cried .. damn lazy night!

We easily lose things from our brain if we just sense it.

When…..

When the sense no impress us

When we sense too much things

When the sense ability decline by reason of aging or distraction

Every things have nature of viscosity to stick to other things

We must make it more viscoid by asking "why" and "what", if it had more viscosity, it easily adhere to other things.

We must develop amount and category of anchors.

Anchor is sometimes more stronger than viscose to connect things, but it is usually not easy to find a fit anchor and anchor lost Is not uncommon condition.

And we must practice how to use anchor skilled, because we don't expect to forgot what anchor we use and we will lose a string of things.

So, how to strong our memory?

=>Increase sense ability: don't hurry ,in a stable rhythm; healthy; good sleep, open eye and mind. concentration.

=>Choice and practice our memory trick ,and understand the weakness point.

A few years ago, I had a film camera that I carried around with me that did not force the user to wind the film after every shot, allowing for multiple exposures. I made a point to only ever advance the film when I was just about to take a picture, and if I couldn't remember if I'd already used the current frame, I did not advance the film. These are images of things I wanted to remember, blurred into each other as a result of lapses in my memory.

An awfully old pic ^^ But I like how Jaffa looks like a little fox here :P

Is it possible to actually have too many Mamory sticks?
