Expired Ektachrome 100 Plus, Spartaflex

Bought a Pentax 6x7. A few shots from the first roll with her. She's a beast and I'm still trying to get the hang of it haha.

My neighbor has been bugging me to shoot his dog (heh) for quite some time now, and I finally gave in and did it. Why such a big deal? He goes through dogs pretty frequently, as he prefers to buy "pre-owned" rather than "new" (i.e. they're all as old as he is, and don't last as long). The last time I did his dog's portraits, he never even bothered to look at them. Yet he insists that this is going to be a commercial transaction and he's going to pay me my going rate.

But he doesn't know my going rate! And would probably choke if he did know. So I've been hoping he'd forget about it. He didn't. Oh and he wanted these images to match ones from a dog he had ages ago, probably taken at JC Penney, with a blue and white cloud background.

I said I don't do backgrounds like that. I could however do white.

So, here's Betty. I'm using the Zac Arias technique of home-depot-style shiny white paneling for the floor, with a white paper sweep on the background.

Exciting lighting details: Alien Bees 1600 as main light camera left with a 43" shoot through umbrella. Fill was Alien Bees 800 in a reflective umbrella, down low and angled up. Backdrop was list with two Nikon SB-28s. CyberSync triggers.

Camera: Mamiya 645AF, 150mm f/3.5 lens, with Kodak Portra 160 film. Yes you heard me.

Novar-Anastigmat 75mm f: 4,5. Pronto shutter.

Khrieng has driven a samlor/tricycle in Chiang Mai for 40 years, before tuk-tuks, songtaews and city buses. Nowadays he gets four to five fares a day. Under the passenger seat he keeps his tools and seven blankets. He sleeps in his tricycle, under an awning if it's raining.
