This recent acquisition of a medium format lens, as strange as it may be to some (I own solely an APS-C, Pentax K20D), was due to not one but 3 reasons.
(1) I heard it's a damn fine 80/85mm "portrait" lens; and for some reason, I've just been going NUTS about portrait lenses recently... and I didn't even have one till I got this!! :-DDD Others on their way are a Jupiter-9 85mm F2 and a Helios 40-2 85mm F1.5.
(2) I wanted to try out the DIY rubber plunger tilt adapter, for which you need a medium format lens. This Volna-3, purchased for $55 was one of the cheapest medium format lenses I could find on Ebay.
(3) And in conjunction with the above, I gave in and decided to purchase a Pentacon 6-to-K mount Tilt Adapter, made by the Hartblei folks in the Ukraine. Since I'm getting the adapter, I need, yes, NEED, Pentacon 6 lenses. So yeah. I'm getting a Mir-26B 45mm/F3.5 as well ;-)
Taken with a Lubitel-166 Universal Camera on Fuji Reala 120mm film. Scanned with CanoScan 9000F. Cropped and resized. No digital editing.
A late birthday present!
Yashica LM, I put in a roll of film this morning, we had a studio lighting class for photography. So hopefully under the rather well controlled conditions I'll be able to tell if this little guy is in tip top shape!
...and my undying love for Japanese food.

Haja o Que Houver
Come what may
I am here
Come what may
I will wait for you
Return on the wind
Oh my love
return quickly
if you please
How long has it been
I have forgotten
Why I remained
Far from you
Each moment
is more painful
Return on the wind
If you please
I know, I know
Who you are to me
Come what may
I will wait for you..
