This is the first medium beta cryomodule fabricated by SNS personnel, although a high beta cryomodule was developed by SNS personnel in 2012. It allows SNS to repair other medium beta cryomodules while maintaining the same energy. This experience will help in fabricating cryomodules for the Proton Power Upgrade (PPU).
