Artificial lake for snow cannons at 2800 meters height near the Mölltaler Gletscher in Carinthia, Austria.
This is an old chrome of mine that has been scanned. It was shot with a (used) Mamiya 645 without a light meter or prizm finder. I guessed the exposure and thought I would get nothing, but it was worth a try. When I got my film back I was thrilled, I never expected it to come out. These two were at a temple celebration in Sanur, Bali in 1994.
Dried out watercolour pigments, their colours still vibrant.
Like parched soil, they are waiting for that first drop of water to bloom to life and create beauty.
An improved version of a previously posted build which was mostly completed while I was deployed but with which I was never quite happy. I think I've ironed out the kinks.

Nearly a century ago , the Eastman Kodak Company offered an outfit for coloring photographs . In the metal box is a booklet with sheets of colored paper , divided in 'stamps' . When put in water , the color comes off and with a brush the photo amateur could do his 'photo-shopping !
