The M3 tank was designed early in World War II as an interim tank which the U.S. could produce quickly. The British named it and a variant Lee and Grant, respectively. It entered service in 1941 and was well armed, with a 37 mm gun in the turret and a 75 mm gun in the tank hull, plus machine guns. This tank was competitive against its contemporaries, but could not stand against improved German tanks which appeared in late 1942, and was replaced with the M4 Sherman.

From Pacific Islands. The bright blue/green Paua shell is NZ and the front 2nd right is a cameo shell - from which jewellery is made. This particular shell has been carved like the jewellery carvings and is presently used as a lamp shade. Middle shell at the top has a perfect nature made hinge whereby it opens and shuts.
This is my first picture on an old 120mm camera brought back from china as a present for me. Wasnt even sure if it would work or not, but it seems to work pretty well.
