I'm still working out the kinks in regard to using the floating lens element. Absolutely love working with medium format film.

Alright so stuck around in London for another day today. Here's a quick recap of the day, woke up drove one of Elyse's roommates to work since her car died in her workplaces parking lot. Dropped by Fanshawe to say hi to all (well most) of my old professors and to a couple of the young faces I knew. All fun and good times to be had, even had lunch with my friend Lisa (who came to visit) and my old professor Jim. After that Lisa and I strolled down to Medium to say hi to John. I've talked about Medium before, its a gallery, a film lab, a print shop, a rental place and a studio as well. If you're ever in London you have to check out Medium. After spending the day there I ended up going out and helping my friend Steve with a last minute shoot he had planned for today. I helped for a couple hours and now I'm back at home writing this before the misses and I go out for diner.
So this was a shot I had in mind for awhile. I knew I wanted to get a shot of John and Medium and have his work from his last gallery up as well. Steve's gallery is currently up so I had to take down some of this stuff from the walls and windows and put back some of John's work. Originally I also wanted to light up the instead of the shop a little more as well but it turned out to bright for my taste, I wanted this a somewhat darker shot so I underexposed everything and lit John and the sign up separately. I had two other friend helps me out, James and Nate with this shot. I shot on a tripod and had Nate be my voiced activated boom, he lit up John than I took another photo where we lit up the sign, I put the two photos together in Photoshop and masked Nate out of the photo. Also John wanted his new pet dog in the shot to so he held her up for this shot, cause John is quite the nice guy even if he might not look it hahaha.

Picked this really cool medium format camera up at a pawn shop today. It came with 55, 85, and 150mm lenses; flash grip; prism viewfinder. Everything seems to be functioning correctly (after i downloaded the instructions and figured it all out). Planning to run some film through it this week!
