A pipistrelle I was looking after for a while last year - In this video I was going to feed her a mealworm, but she was still eating the first one, which you can watch her doing in the background (she's under a ferrero rocher box (have to eat chocolates for conservation reasons - shame, eh?) And so you get a good look at a mealworm anyway.

The meatloaf was a mix of 85% "lean" (HA, they should have seen the bucketfuls of grease after cooking) beef, chopped onions, chopped baby bella mushrooms, spices (with extra garlic, of course), breadcrumbs, and egg. Well, egg beaters really. I compromised by getting the greasy beef, I wanted to bring in a little healthiness in somehow.

Voila! Dinner tonight: meatloaf cupcakes (with beet-juice dyed mashed potato frosting)

Now I have to go back and make real cupcakes, because the 4 year old saw these and got SO excited - and exclaimed "They are so beautiful!!!" (yeah ok, I don't pipe frosting often so she's not comparing me to pros ;D )

I'm not gonna let her end the night sad, April Fools or not, so back to the kitchen I go.
