This is McGregor the West Highland White Terrier. He was a part of the 100 Loyal Faces Project: a charity Project to raise money for dog charities in Australia and Thailand. You can read more about the Project and McGregor here - www.100loyalfaces.com.
It was here that the McGregor's mustered before the Battle of Culloden. Full of hope, they set off to fight in the last civil war fought on British soil and reinstate their rightful king Bonnie Prince Charles. Few returned, and for those who did, a greater fight was on their hands – to save their religious beliefs from persecution, which followed for more than a century afterwards.

There is a guy on the left. He was drinking a 6 pack and had suitcases with him. It was Boxing Day. He asked me if I was "taking happy snaps". I said yes and got the fuck out of there.
The Luthe building was constructed circa 1886 and later housed a plumbing shop, furnace dealer and antique store. It now houses a retail store specializing in Victorian-era clothing.
The Dawson building was erected in 1860 to house a grocery store, and by 1912 it housed a mortuary and furniture store. In 1939 a fire swept through the building, killing eight persons by inhalation of fumes from the formaldehyde used by the mortuary. The building was then renovated and became a cabinet shop and archery factory and is now an antique store.

The Oddfellows Lodge Hall was built circa 1897. The street level housed a furniture store, billiards hall and bowling alley during its early years. The upper-level hall was used for dances and Odd Fellows meetings. The building later housed a grocery store and cold storage locker. The building received an alteration and modernization that significantly reduced its historical integrity.
The adjacent store building was constructed circa 1897 and housed German emigrant Herman Kossack's barber shop and later the local telephone exchange. It now houses a laundromat. The facade was renovated in 2012.
Part of a commercial block built in 1886 that housed a variety of businesses, including a saddlery shop, grocery, jewelry and hardware stores and a photography studio. It now houses a home decor business.
