Maybe America's favorite songbird. It's responsible for getting a lot of people into birding. This one came by for a visit while we were in the deer woods. Our beautiful world, pass it on.
Maybe it is seaweed salad before the fish entree. The mate will be pretty angry if this bird returns thinking this is dinner.
I finally got a photo of an osprey dropping in for the kill and it was after a pile of seaweed. It picked it up and flew out of sight. I assume it was nesting material.

I rescued this from the Maybe folder. I shot this at 5.38am on 16 August last year. It was in the Maybe folder because despite the nice sunrise in the background, I wished I’d taken more care with the composition. I remember being in a rush to get to the next field where I wanted to get some shots of the wheat in the first rays of sun. I got those shots and was happy with them- at the expense of my treasured Cow Parsley!!

Might as well live in a grand house, I honestly forgot whether this was taken in Bath or elsewhere. Any help appreciated.
Okay, maybe beautiful isn’t exactly the right word, but the sunset reflections in those melting snow puddles are kinda pretty, I think, and it was a great day for a walk on Monday. We had relatively balmy 45 degree F temperatures and we’ve lost a lot of our snow. Colder temps and a bit more snow are in the forecast for later this week.
