Straordinario è, in entrambi i casi, l'apparato decorativo interno.

Assisi, city of Peace and Brotherhood.

The Basilica of San Francesco is located in Assisi, is the place that since 1230 preserves and preserves the mortal remains of the saint.

The basilica is formed by two overlapping churches, linked to two different construction phases: the first linked to the Umbrian Romanesque, of Lombard derivation, the second linked to the French Gothic style. In both cases, the interior decoration is extraordinary.

Well protected by UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Basilica of San Francesco was built under the direction of Brother Elia, vicar general and architect of the order, starting from 1228, just two years after the death of the saint, as a place destined to welcome the remains.

The first stone was laid by Pope Gregory IX on 17 July 1228 the day after the canonization of St. Francis, in the place where executions were carried out and the evildoers were buried. According to tradition, Francis himself, at the point of death, indicated to his companions this as the place for his burial.

S'extirper de la matrice...

Piazza Margherita is the center of Castelbuono (Pa) .

----------------------

The Madrice Vecchia and the ancient Banca di Corte overlook it. The old matrix dates back to the 14th century. The façade of the church is adorned with a Catalan Gothic portal with a border of rampant leaves, and a portico with three round arches from the 16th century. Inside the church there is a 16th century polyptych, of fine workmanship.

In the center of the square there is a beautiful fountain which rests on an octagonal pavement-base.

My wish for the coming year would be that as many people as possible take the red pill to finally get out of the matrix, and thus bring humanity as quickly as possible to The GREAT AWAKENING!

N.B. : After THREE tryouts, I finally succeeded in finding the right rendering...

Now, it won't be edited again ! I SWEAR IT ! :-))

Exposure bracketing made in 2012 with a Fuji S100FS. I merged the Raws and reprocessed the dng with the latest version of lightroom, then finished with GigaPixel, all in less than 5mns; I get a much better and natural result than with the fusion process Photoshop of that era or Photomatix ... In conclusion, never get rid of his Raw files (as well as his negatives for that matter).

I treasure my finepix: the texture and colors are reminiscent of analog photographies... Matter of the heart.

Unfortunately, the greater demosaicers either do not accept the s100fs raf, or treat the signals as if they were coming from a Bayer matrix (possibly by analyzing them from a 45° angle). To my knowledge, only Silkypix (V11 so far) and Raw-Therapee exploit the additional pixel, but for a lower image quality than Lightroom (IMHO) and without any real improvement in the level of detail.

The good news is that the new Silkypix V11 (30$) improvements remains applicable to the s100fs raws, but the visible quality improvement is still not good enough for me.

The Stella Maris Parish Church on Triq-il-Kbir is a Roman Catholic parish located in Sliema, Malta. It is the matrice or Mother Church of the other parish churches in Sliema and Gżira being the oldest parish church dating from 1878.

Incidentally, Stella Maris means ‘Star of the Sea’.

" After us the deluge ? » highlights the urgency of the threats weighing on biodiversity in the Anthropocene era. This woodcut is part of a monumental fresco representing a multitude of endangered species. For her drawings and engravings, Camille Dufour uses heavy oak boards measuring two meters long as a matrix. During performances, they are inked once to be printed by hand using soap until when the ink runs out. While the drawings of endangered species slowly disappear from sheet to sheet, the traces of soap left during the printing process redraw an impossible healing. As in front of the Bayeux tapestry, our movements in the installation inscribe the work in the temporality of our bodies and link us to the history of this ecosystem. This fresco displayed before us, builds a memory of the living and calls for our individual and collective responsibility.

The fresco is also fragmented in order to be distributed randomly to thousands of mailboxes. By reconnecting with a materiality of exchanges and a form of collective knowledge of the sensitive, “After us the flood? » is a call to rethink our relationship with life. The project's system, resolutely participatory, invites recipients to contribute to collective reflection and creation. Like a major consultation, the responses will be transcribed to form a second fresco, enriching the project with the aggregate of thousands of imaginations, thoughts and proposals.
