One of the wonderful things I have found as I paid closer attention to the natural world was the tremendous level of math in the beauty of the natural world.

On Tuesday, April 8, more than 1,500 charter public school parents and supporters united in Springfield in response to the unprecedented legislative attack on Charter Schools. Parents, students and supporters of Perspectives Charter Schools joined the event to lend their voice in support of education choice in public schools.
Perspectives joined parents and supporters from communities and cities across the state, including Chicago, Springfield, Decatur, Jacksonville, and Peoria for Lobby Day.
Every campus of Perspectives was represented including Perspectives Rodney D. Joslin Campus in the South Loop, Perspectives/IIT Math & Science Academy in Bronzeville, and Perspectives Leadership Academy, Perspectives High School of Technology, and Perspectives Middle Academy in Auburn Gresham.
Illinois charter parents’ efforts to protect their school and right to quality public school options gained national, local and state media attention with more than 50 unique print, radio, and TV placements and nearly 300 broadcast mentions on TV and radio stations across Illinois.

It is located on the west bank of Hooghly River, Belur, West Bengal, India and is one of the significant institutions in Calcutta. This temple is the heart of the Ramakrishna Movement. The temple is notable for its architecture that fuses Hindu, Christian and Islamic motifs as a symbol of unity of all religions.)
Children enjoy a story and math-related activity. Those who enjoy this program are comfortable in the room with other children and without a parent or caregiver.
Here the maths focus is "shape". Students construct different shapes out of straws, match sticks and a variety of other materials.
After the teacher writes math problems on the whiteboard, the students use bottle caps to add and subtract the numbers.
