I still fall on my face sometimes and I
Can't color inside the lines
'cause I'm perfectly incomplete
I'm still working on my masterpiece
This 'masterpiece' is ready to jump on my hand :-)
Thank you all for visits, faves and comments, it's greatly appreciated!
Beneath dramatic Swedish skies, Vadstena showcases Renaissance splendor, its timeless turrets and ancient stone walls telling tales of royal ambition and a storied past. Surrounded by verdant parkland and nestled near the tranquil shores of Lake Vättern, this masterpiece invites travelers to immerse themselves in the living history and serene beauty of Östergötland.
Your visit and presence here truly brighten my gallery. I hope this view of Vadstena Castle brought a smile or sparked a sense of wonder in your day. Your little star or kind words mean so much to me. Thank you for sharing in the beauty and magic of this place with me.
The fan vaulted ceiling of Bath Abbey in Bath, UK is an amazing example of lace in stone. This delicate looking stone lace actually provides structural stability to the Abbey. It dates to the major renovations to the Abbey (which itself dates to the 7th century) in the Victorian period of 1864 - 74 and is the work of Sir George Gilbert Scott.

Women in the world are often told that they need to look a certain way and smile as much as possible to look pretty but I believe the true masterpiece is the woman within and her depth of emotions and thoughts is worth celebrating.

Evening view of the abandoned pier in Puerto Natales, Chile. There won't be many other, if any, blue hour uploads from Patagonia because the towns and cities are not architectural masterpieces, even this one was a challenge because of the wind and my state of inebriation.
Happy Sunday to everyone.

Hickman Bridge, Capitol Reef National Park, Utah
Hickman Bridge is notoriously hard to photograph, as its relative proximity to the canyon wall behind it masks blue skies. It boasts a 133-foot span and 125-foot height. Natural bridges are carved by free-flowing water in contrast with arches.
You know, except for that tripod leg.... this might have been perfect. And the vignetting. And the fact that right about now the sky is getting dark, and we're both wondering if the dark black clouds floating downwind towards us are going to carry lightning bolts and torrential rain. We got lucky, just a light sprinkle and bolts flashing all around us at comfortable distances with a huge gap to the west. Well, luck might have had less to do with it than a good weather read, but I'll take luck over skill at reading weather any day of the week.
The red sandstone formations, the twisted pine trees, and the desert shrubs all work in concert to form a perfect masterpiece of nature. Even the dead trees find their way onto Ma Nature's canvas--they accent the landscape like costume jewelry on an evening gown.

The gusts of winter winds
took turns
carving curves
into the sensuous snow mounds.
Each burst and breath
sent shivers
causing ripples in the
whipped white
peaks and pillars.
Icy talons hung in the balance.
Winter was working on a masterpiece of art.

This picture is for the group Happy Caturday and this week the theme is "Masterpieces".
I kinda like this picture even though Elijah is not in focus. Actually, I'm surprised that you can even see him! We were playing with the packing paper from Chewy. The boys love that stuff. I should just ask Chewy to sell me a whole box of it! :)
