"Viewing the ocean from the Sun's point of view
I lose the reflection in the contrast...
There's a difference in
Living and living well
You can't have it all...
Caught a fish, caught a breeze...
What more can I ask for?"
All the stupid lies and the stupid games
Left a vacancy in this picture frame
A prisoner by my own hands
'Cause if I can't have me, then no one can
I need to heal what I inflict
But I'll burn that bridge when I get to it
As I play roulette with a broken gun
I confess these sins with a sharp and spiteful tongue

St Christopher Wren's masterpiece was built between 1675 and 1710 and replaced the earlier medieval cathedral which had been damaged in the Great Fire of London.
The huge dome has been a familiar landmark on the London skyline over the centuries. In World War Two many of the buildings surrounding the cathedral were completely destroyed during the Blitz, however St Paul's survived mostly intact and became a symbol of hope.
The Wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer took place in the cathedral in 1981, as did the funeral of Margaret Thatcher in 2013.
Many important figures from British history are buried in the crypt including Horatio Nelson, the Duke of Wellington, Christopher Wren, Florence Nightingale and JMW Turner.
From my window at Forest Hills, winter paints its masterpiece. The setting sun ignites the sky with a palette of oranges, pinks, and lavenders. Against this incandescent canvas, the araucaria trees rise, majestic and serene, transforming into dark, sculptural silhouettes. I capture this fleeting moment where light and form merge into a sublime stillness. It is the tranquil embrace of the day saying goodbye.
É o abraço tranquilo do dia a despedir-se.

The Burggarten in Vienna is a serene green oasis in the heart of the city, featuring the stunning Palmenhaus, a Jugendstil glasshouse.
Originally designed in the early 19th century as a private garden for Emperor Franz I, the Burggarten is now a public park. It showcases an English landscape style with winding paths, open lawns, and beautifully arranged flower beds.
The Mozart Monument, surrounded by a treble-clef-shaped flower bed, is a must-see landmark.
Palmenhaus (Glasshouse):
Built in 1901, the Palmenhaus is a masterpiece of Art Nouveau architecture, with its intricate steel and glass structure.
Inside, you’ll find two main attractions:
The Butterfly House (Schmetterlinghaus), featuring exotic butterflies in a lush, tropical environment.
Café Palmenhaus, a chic spot where historic charm meets modern gastronomy.
A walk through the Burggarten combined with a visit to the Palmenhaus offers a perfect blend of natural tranquility and architectural beauty—a must-visit for anyone exploring Vienna!

The Erbdrostenhof forms a part of the baroque island
Erbdrostenhof
This masterpiece by the baroque architect Johann Conrad Schlaun built between the years 1753 and 1757 forms, together with the Clemens and Dominican churches, the “baroque island” at the Salzstrasse. Another particularity: Münster’s most beautiful nobility court stands diagonally on a rectangular plot of land.
The exterior of the Erbdrostenhof was faithfully reconstructed after the war, serving as the office of the Westphalian State Conservator today. Of the interior elements, only the staircase and the banqueting hall on the first floor were restored to their erstwhile condition.
The building is accessible to the public only for events in the banqueting hall.

The tholos of the sanctuary of Athēna Pronaea (Ἀθηνᾶ Προναία) is bathed in golden Delphic light, as the sun is going down.
The circular building is the most iconic monument at Delphi and viewed from above. This masterpiece of Classical architecture was erected in 380 BC; Theodōros of Phōcaea or Phōcis was the architect. The tholos was partially restored in 1938. Shot taken on October 17, 2022, just before sunset.
