Only a cynic can create horror--for behind every masterpiece of the sort must reside a driving demonic force that despises the human race and its illusions, and longs to pull them to pieces and mock them.”

― H. P. Lovecraft

Women in the world are often told that they need to look a certain way and smile as much as possible to look pretty but I believe the true masterpiece is the woman within and her depth of emotions and thoughts is worth celebrating.

Hickman Bridge, Capitol Reef National Park, Utah

Hickman Bridge is notoriously hard to photograph, as its relative proximity to the canyon wall behind it masks blue skies. It boasts a 133-foot span and 125-foot height. Natural bridges are carved by free-flowing water in contrast with arches.

You know, except for that tripod leg.... this might have been perfect. And the vignetting. And the fact that right about now the sky is getting dark, and we're both wondering if the dark black clouds floating downwind towards us are going to carry lightning bolts and torrential rain. We got lucky, just a light sprinkle and bolts flashing all around us at comfortable distances with a huge gap to the west. Well, luck might have had less to do with it than a good weather read, but I'll take luck over skill at reading weather any day of the week.

In my hometown of Stratford, Connecticut, Katharine Hepburn used to summer here in a small cottage that was in back of this stone wall, along Long Island Sound.

Taken while out for a walk in the woods

The red sandstone formations, the twisted pine trees, and the desert shrubs all work in concert to form a perfect masterpiece of nature. Even the dead trees find their way onto Ma Nature's canvas--they accent the landscape like costume jewelry on an evening gown.

We just had to capture this one today.

It seemed like a barista made a fabolous drawing in the coffee 😁

I haven't seen these stripes on a rainbow before, maybe it is rain pouring - I thought it was an outstanding masterpiece by nature.

Nature rocks!

A slice of the brutalist masterpiece that is MIT's student center. I really enjoy how it isn't just a simple block, but within the constraints of brutalist design, they gave it a lot of geometry & dimensionality - layers, stairs, glass walls, and so on.

I pass by this building frequently, so it is only natural, I needed to capture it :)
