I still fall on my face sometimes and I
Can't color inside the lines
'cause I'm perfectly incomplete
I'm still working on my masterpiece
Only a cynic can create horror--for behind every masterpiece of the sort must reside a driving demonic force that despises the human race and its illusions, and longs to pull them to pieces and mock them.”

The central element of the IG Metall building in Berlin is the light-flooded staircase that connects all floors. A generous spiral staircase with a diameter of almost 5 metres is a place of movement and communication in equal measure. All metal parts are made of brass and the balustrades emphasize the round shape of the staircase. The staircase can only be viewed and photographed from below, unfortunately climbing up is not permitted. The IG Metall building has been a listed building since 1971.
The fan vaulted ceiling of Bath Abbey in Bath, UK is an amazing example of lace in stone. This delicate looking stone lace actually provides structural stability to the Abbey. It dates to the major renovations to the Abbey (which itself dates to the 7th century) in the Victorian period of 1864 - 74 and is the work of Sir George Gilbert Scott.
Nature is a fascinating architect! This sublime tree trunk reminded me of the walls of a magnificent Gothic cathedral.

Women in the world are often told that they need to look a certain way and smile as much as possible to look pretty but I believe the true masterpiece is the woman within and her depth of emotions and thoughts is worth celebrating.

A deckchair was my point of focus with the intent of placing it somewhere interesting asap. Did a search in the Pixabay app for Deck Chair and found the perfect png, then Landscapes and bingo there was the something interesting that suited my imagination very well.A masterpiece in its own right by KELLEPICS With the perfect scene, the deck chair fit very well. As usual that wasn’t enough for this Tman so I placed a few other images before I was satisfied and the image shown was achieved. The title was a favourite from the good old days. Composite from the following with thanks to the persons for each pic: Beach, children and Jellyfish by:the brilliant KELLEPICS Deckchair: stevebidmead BALLOON:susannp4 via PIXABAY app. RED planet and distant “man” via HUMAN app. Transformation via JUXTAPOSER, HOME,and final touches in SNAPSEED. . Much gratitude to all us photographers/artists who allow use of their images.
The red sandstone formations, the twisted pine trees, and the desert shrubs all work in concert to form a perfect masterpiece of nature. Even the dead trees find their way onto Ma Nature's canvas--they accent the landscape like costume jewelry on an evening gown.

Once in a while during the winter months, we are blessed with works of art. Sculpted and created by nature, they are truly a gift.
Light fluffy snow with no wind is the artist. It doesn't last long however, because after the front moves through comes the wind.

The gusts of winter winds
took turns
carving curves
into the sensuous snow mounds.
Each burst and breath
sent shivers
causing ripples in the
whipped white
peaks and pillars.
Icy talons hung in the balance.
Winter was working on a masterpiece of art.

David is a masterpiece of Italian Renaissance sculpture, created from 1501 to 1504 by Michelangelo. With a height of 5.17 m, the David was the first colossal marble statue made in the early modern period following classical antiquity, a precedent for the 16th century and beyond. David was originally commissioned as one of a series of statues of twelve prophets to be positioned along the roofline of the east end of Florence Cathedra, but was instead placed in the public square in front of the Palazzo della Signoria. In 1873, the statue was moved to the Galleria dell'Accademia, and in 1910 replaced at the original location by a replica.
Eiffel Tower, French Tour Eiffel, Parisian landmark that is also a technological masterpiece in building-construction history. When the French government was organizing the International Exposition of 1889 to celebrate the centenary of the French Revolution, a competition was held for designs for a suitable monument. More than 100 plans were submitted, and the Centennial Committee accepted that of the noted bridge engineer Gustave Eiffel. Eiffel’s concept of a 300-metre (984-foot) tower built almost entirely of open-lattice wrought iron aroused amazement, skepticism, and no little opposition on aesthetic grounds. When completed, the tower served as the entrance gateway to the exposition. 1
