Since you all seem to enjoy my sunset/rise photos, here's one more: the king of them all. It's amazing what you can find tucked away in a large file. I am quite pleased with the colors in this one.
Thanks for commenting!
I´m very proud that this photo was chosed by very talented Violaliena as a cover art for her amazing and wonderful fairy tale.
She is participating in a literary contest and made it to the semifinals. Congratulation! The theme of her story is: ”Prince Charming doesn’t exist”.

The upper rooms revolve around a large main hall, in which sculpture is sometimes displayed, and where natural light predominates. The total works are shown along 2200 meters of wall, which allows a diaphanous exhibition in a large space.

We all like to reflect. 2017 is a year to definitely reflect on. This image captures silence, peace and a reflection of its own self. We take many things for granted but most importantly we never appreciate what we’ve personally achieved enough. Always waiting for someone else’s approval. If you feel you’ve done the best you can for yourself or others then pat yourself on the back and be proud of your achievements. Be humble in defeat and respectful in glory. I hope your 2017 was as good as you could have imagined.
The Duomo of Santa Maria Assunta is Pisa is also known as a primatial church (the word used to describe a cathedral whose bishop is also a primate – that is, in the Church, the archbishop of a major city – a purely formal honour today). The church is a Romanesque masterpiece and represents the prestige and wealth achieved by the Maritime Republic of Pisa at the height of its splendour. Began in 1063 by the architect Buscheto, the Cathedral embodies a diversity of styles: classical, Lombard-Emilian, Byzantine and Islamic, testimony of the internationality of the city’s merchants at the time. The church was erected in an area outside the city walls to demonstrate that Pisa’s power did not necessitate any special protection. The cathedral, consecrated in 1118 by Pope Gelasius II, was extended in the first half of the 12th century under the direction of architect Rainaldo, who devised the current facade in grey and white marble, decorated with coloured inserts. The three doorways are found beneath four orders of loggias divided by cornices with marble inlay, behind which single, double and tri-mullioned windows open out. The door of San Ranieri is decorated with 24 panels depicting stories from the New Testament.

Being more of a Marvel Comics continuity fan, than an animated series fan, Ratchet is one of my favorite characters and the worst G1 figure. It’s nice to see Ratchet get the 5 star treatment. 🍻

The Sagrada Família - what a masterpiece designed by Gaudí! Incredibly fascinating because of its size, organic shapes and lines, and the attention to details.
I'm back from the Tour Auto Optic 2000 and two days in Monaco, and had the awesome opportunity to spot a marvellous Koenigsegg One:1 in the wild. I'm still shocked of seeing it !

In richer tombs at Qustul, many skeletons of sacrified horses, still covered with all their fittings, were found buried beside their master so that they might accompany him on the voyage to the Hereafter where they might continue to serve him as they have done in this world. The blue sheepskin is an exact copy of the one found. Some of the wooden and leather straps of the saddle, the leather straps of the hardness, and the cords on which bronze bells are suspended round the neck, have been restored. Underlying the saddle and the hardness were two linen horse clothes, one plain and one patterned in red, blue and yellow. The silver harness was found in an excellent state of preservation which helped to reconstitute the fitting as seen on the model horses carved in reinforced plaster.

This image reminded me of the very evocative anti war song The Crow on the Cradle... as relevant today as it was when it was first written in the 60's... this version performed by Jackson Browne and David Linley.
The sheep's in the meadow...
The cow's in the corn...
Now is the time for a child to be born...
they'll laugh at the moon and they'll cry for the sun, and if its a boy...
he'll carry a gun...
...sang the crow on the cradle...
