Going through the 22@ {Barcelona}’s infrastructure, I found corners and spaces that would almost seem impossible, seen with this other perspective and angles. It connotes something different to the building in its totality.

This is a filmswap project I did with my friend Lindsey. I shot my part using an Olympus XA rangefinder. She shot hers using a Minolta SLR.

"Architextures" is a series of composite images. Each image is a mashup of multiple photographs. At least one of the sources is of an architectural subject, anything from closeup walls or windows to broad cityscapes. The added images provide texture or pattern. In some, the architectural forms are preserved and obvious. In others, the pictures become pure abstractions. Yet in all of them, the inherent geometry, angles, lines, and repetitions of the architecture are essential to the geometry and esthetics of the final image. Most of the source images used for this series are already posted in this photostream. The links to the original and source images are listed below.
The ”High Rise” sets are based on images of the Atlanta, Georgia skyline and its tall buildings. Source images and explanatory notes are elsewhere in this photostream.
Base images used for the High Rise series are:

A YOUNG WOMAN -IN LOVE WITH PAIN-WANTS MORE THAN- A NAUGHTY KISS
MAGNA MASHUP- This ADDA comic is from the 1980's-It is a mashup up of a very famous JAPANESE MAGNA comic-LONE WOLF CUB.
ADDA cut out the panals and tossed them in a box. He then randomly picked out panals and pasted them onto a page.
Then ADDA cut out 'talk balloons' from the days comics page and put them in a box to randomly pick out the 'talk ballons' & paste onto the panals.
Some of the panals work really really well with the 'talk ballons'. Others not so much. But, hey, that's DADA for you.
Each comic should be taken in individually, and then as the whole comic. It actually is pretty funny.
The title of the comic was formed totally with randomly picked headlines from the day's newspaper! (A YOUNG WOMAN, IN LOVE WITH PAIN, WANTS MORE THAN, A NAUGHTY KISS!)
ADDA ART-back in the late 1970's and through the 1980's ADDA used to be connected with fantastic mail art artists .
Weveryone would send each other postcards of pure art...absolutely FUN and SUPER CREATIVE stuff. The mail box would be filled to the brim everyday with great art.
ADDA would mail out two or three times a week about 50 to 100 postcards to MAIL ART ARTISTS....yes, that many..
ADDA signature was the cut up letters on a photo that was photocopied...
ADDA has stayed pals with several of his M/A pals for over the years.
FLICKR may be fun and there is great photographs...but virtual art will never replace actual art in ones hands...

once I saw my aunt's photoshopped version I had to attempt it myself... took me about 2 minutes. Voila! they are both smiling now!
See my aunty's version here:
Here I used the Bag End pattern from the LoTR patterns on Fandom in Stitches to recreate one of my favourite childhood TV shows, The Wombles.
The Wombles live at Wimbledon Common in London, England and collect things left behind and reuse them for themselves. There are several Womble characters and the one shown here is called Orinoco.
ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wombles
The Wombles are Hobbit height and live in burrows in the ground, so the Bag End pattern was perfect. I've just tweaked it a little and added a Womble. Originally i was going to add more of the Common, but i'll probably add that at a later date.
I will also be adding the Womble pattern by itself at some point.
Here is episode one for those that haven't seen the wombles before
