I've had enough of the Canary Wharf shots now - planning a natural retreat to the last of the Stanton Drew images tomorrow, so thought I might as well finish up with a final one from that escalator that went down so well last time... (even though it is in fact coming up!). This one is a different composition, with higher contrast and a drop in the lighting...same hazards though: hand held, 200ISO, flash off on a point & shoot, and yes, as before the escalator was still moving and it was night-time.

Mark doing safety watch during the movement of Samson {one of the Harland and Wolff cranes}. Samson was travelling back along the tracks to the far end of the dry dock.
Mark Krejcarek was on the Sheboygan local back in 2003. Roughly 20 years later, I'd photograph his son, Bryan, on this same job.

N7079G started life as an A-26C Invader (44-35562) before being re-manufactured as an On Mark Marketeer circa 1960, with lengthened nose, tip tanks, 11 passenger interior and RH side entrance door.
We were about to meet my parents for dinner in the Pearl District, they had long heard of my illustrious friend, he had even spent several nights on their couch, when I was housesitting. So now we were going to have the dinner.

I heard about Emergency Trammell, the website dedicated to Trammell's laugh before I actually met him at Phootcamp. I'm pretty sure he's the only person I know who's laugh alone is deserving of it's own site. In presenting his own favourite shots at camp, there was a certain sense of sentiment and intention behind his photography which I quite like and to which I could relate. As a multitalented design researcher at twitter, he holds a great conversation and was a super inspiring and interesting guy to talk to. I worked with him on some underwater photography, but in the rush of things didn't manage to grab a copy of the shots. I'll see if I can get a copy and post some stuff.

One of my best friends, taken in the studio for my own side project. This is by far my favourite of his series. Not only do I like the lighting but also the enigmatic but masculine presence.
