I picked up Scarlet to use as my model this afternoon. After working with enthusiastic and cooperative insects, I was in no mood for attitude. Thankfully, she was totally cooperative, to the point of staying motionless wherever I placed her. This is one of my favourites from our photo session.
Every glance through the pure water of this puddle with the maple leaf just lying there frozen in time in the bottom calmness... Every glance takes me to the times of the Dinosaurs. Just for a little while I stop and play a scenario in my head, what if this really was a footprint of a T-Rex?
A Sugar Maple leaf, from last fall, next to our woodpile. On the gray background of a weathered oak pallet, Its color and texture drew my eye.
The leaves on the maple tree in my backyard are changing colors but in a very odd way! Interesting patterns!
