Virginia has 95 Counties and nearly 40 Independent Cities. Not all Independent Cities have separate courthouses from the Counties that surround them. The map depicts some as counties when they are not such as Virginia Beach, Suffolk, and Chesapeake. The final one in Virginia was County #975.

My travels from mid August to early October involved a month in the Ammassalik region (with Kate), a few rest days in Reykjavik, a work-week in Tromso with friends from Kvinnforsk (Gender and Women's Studies), including a roadtrip through Sapmi, northern Norway, Sweden and Finland) and an international/ interdisciplinary workshop (on circumpolar gender) in Svalbard. My desire is to return to everyone of these places.

I worked on this puzzle several days last week, just to keep myself puzzling. The puzzle has a great feel with a special "wood finish" texture of pieces.
This photo has a bit warmer colors, as it was not taken on direct daylight.
