This piece of artwork was created in my first year of Graphics Design Alevels. All of the students were given three words to start the project off with ‘Universe, Earth and Map’. After making a brainstorm, I decided to create a world map of everyday needs of people. The visuals I created were made using Photoshop and Illustrator. The key in the map was important to look around the map. My idea was to create visuals using 3D shapes and all over the world. The map itself is a visual of the word 'universe'. Even though I created more outcomes after this artwork.
ack! behind on my 365bokehs so here's me catching up...and thanking my dear flickr friend, who mommies 2 munchkins for these lovely babies!
Our traditional non-shopping in London day out - looking at lights, trees, shop windows and displays, and posh afternoon tea.
We popped into St James' Park tube station - which is under the famous art deco building 55 Broadway - the HQ of London underground. So I snapped their map.

From Wikipedia, free encyclopedia:
The Map (Araschnia levana) is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is common throughout the lowlands of central and eastern Europe, and is expanding its range in western Europe.
The Map is unusual in that its two annual broods look very different. The summer brood are black with white markings, looking like a miniature version of the White Admiral and lacking most of the orange of the pictured spring brood.
The eggs are laid in long strings, one on top of the other, on the underside of stinging nettles, the larval foodplant. It is thought that these strings of eggs mimic the flowers of the nettles, thereby evading predators. The larvae feed gregariously and hibernate as pupae.
