I was following the kids around in the backyard this evening trying to get a few good shots in before it got dark. Well Jessie flat out told me she wasn't going to let me take any pictures of her. Every time I pointed the camera at her, she turned away.
A short while later she wanted me to move her playground set over so that when you go down the slide, you land on the grass instead of the concrete. I told her I'd move it later since it's heavy. Her reply, "If you move it now, I'll let you take my piiiiiiiicture."
Well as you can probably guess...I moved it. :D
Here I stripped the original paint from the tank, made the rims and fork legs black , as well as some smaller parts.
I (fortunately) haven't interacted with cigarette smoke in quite a while, and so it came as a bit of a shock that you could smoke in the Frankfurt/Hahn airport. We spent several hours in the airport on our way home, and it was essentially impossible to avoid sitting in the vicinity of people who were enthusiastically stinking the place up. Quite unpleasant, really, and made me appreciate all the more the various legislative efforts here in the U.K. and back in Minnesota that have so greatly improved the world we live in.
They don't allow smoking inside at Dagstuhl, but they do have ashtrays outside. Happily they aren't needed much.

Had to manipulate this a lot - the Tokina 11-16 isn't a good fit for the D4 unless I use the crop settings.
I always wanted take that kind self portrait where face is hide behind camera... oh well now it's done!
This is my first manipulation. Manipulation is from picture of star and picture of moon. Both are taken by me.

Blue layer copied and blended in overlay mode.
Midnight filter.
Figure reblended in for detail.
Nik's Midnight filter yet again.
Contrast adjusted in LightRoom.
Perhaps it isn't an original title but oh well! I've just started playing around again. Suggestions/critiques are welcome.
I had never realised from watching the show that the rift-manipulator, which is at the heart of the fountain structure, is a shrunk down version of the TARDIS centrepiece. Nice touch, I thought.
The original on black - very good in it´s own way
In the original the sea was quite burned as regarding the details in the sea. That part was so beautiful that I just had to tone the exposure down big time. Thus I lost the land, but I gained the painted ocean.. View On Black
