They were one of the hardest rocking goth-punk bands ever. Slightly Gang of 4-inspired, but, then again, who wasn't? Fat Vigilate is, for me, still one of the best songs from the mid-80s. Later this record was re-issued as a CD with lots of singles A's and B's as well as previously unreleased material. Some of it also good. I heard they are active again. But, then again, who isn't?

This is one of Dr. Jeremy Plotslosky’s first SHD reattachment cases from 1987. Back then, he hadn’t quite perfected his technique and had to make due with what he had. For privacy reason’s the patient’s identity cannot be released. The identity of the tangerine can be. It was grown by the good doctor’s daughter Adeline and finished as the runner-up in the “Largest Tangerine (Amateur)” category at that year’s Montgomery County 4-H fair.
Sadly, on a class trip to the Philadelphia Zoo, Tangerine Boy got a little too close to the cage of an alpha male gorilla with a great fondness for tangerines.

Photo of ad for hotel/resort, Forbes, + tangerine, manipulated.
Thanks for the temporary loan of the tangerine Howard W.!
FWIW, the shot in the ad had a father holding up his son over happy blue water on a bright sunny day. Taking out the father and his arms holding up the child made it work a little better for where the image was taking me.
I saved the jpg @ 800W, but for some reason it's coming up skinny.
Created for The Dictionary of Image This is a resubmission as I've been learning photoshop...
Think I've spent more time manipulating this image than it took to manipulate the tree itself into shape!

No, I'm not colorblind
I know the world is black and white
Try to keep an open mind
But I just can't sleep on this tonight
Stop this train
I wanna get off
And go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't
But honestly, won't someone stop this train?
Don't know how else to say it
Don't want to see my parents go
One generation's length away
From fighting life out on my own

a funny story here....
i had scouted out this cool area at DFW airport and was waiting for something interesting to happen. it didn't... so i waited and waited.... and waited... i had a flight to catch.
and then this lady with two kids sat down against the wall where i was hanging out. i noticed she had a camera with her.. it was a 5D... so i said, hey.. make your kids run through this shot and i'll give you some polaroids of them. she instantly knew what i was asking for and directed the kids to run first one at a time and then together.
she and the kids got 4 polaroids out of it. it was fun.
just like HCB used to do (i'm sure). :)

This character has been manipulated by society, feels trapped by herself and her reflection.

this is the view from my kitchen window every morning. my neighbor's dog, rosie. she hears me making coffee in the kitchen, and begins the pout... the peering through the fence with the sad, sad eyes...
"where's my cookie?, can't you see I'm starving? don't you know that no one loves me? pleeeeezzz give me a cookie. I'm a good girl"
it can go on for hours
Shot about 15 minutes later than part I, with a smaller aperture and much longer exposure time. This time I managed to get the deep colors I was looking for. This is IMHO one of the better sunset shots I have managed to take.
